We're about to get slammed by a hurricane, so I may be offline for a while. To avoid this happening, I'm going to invoke the Internet god and say that my trees are gonna get broken or blown down. (small voice -- when you say things are a certainty in front of hundreds of people, Murphy will prove you wrong) The sky is very ominous to the southeast and it's coming closer.... ====================================== http://www.bunnymenlist.com ====================================== ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 15 Jul 2003 21:17:31 +0100 From: "K.P. I sent a translation of Mac's interview (from Italian). ====================================== http://www.bunnymenlist.com ====================================== ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 15 Jul 2003 20:31:14 -0500 (CDT) From: Amy Moseley Rupp Subject: Re: seven-seas Sorry .... > to disturb you > > system problems I was more disturbed by the piece of spam mail next to your message. It was entitled "Pleasure Your Mate All Night Long." I didn't dare open it. ====================================== http://www.bunnymenlist.com ====================================== ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 15 Jul 2003 20:43:59 -0500 (CDT) From: Amy Moseley Rupp Subject: Re: seven-seas Mac's interview Crap, the interview translation didn't get through from work. I'm fairly certain I saved it though, and will resend it tomorrow. To answer your question, Shaz, IIRC, the interviewer (an Italian) told Mac that the last time he'd seen Mac perform was with the Bunnymen at V97 / Chelmsford (this performance was indeed rather awful; though I thought the Internet chat with Les and Will was fun). The interviewer said "to be honest, I didn't like it, and the bad memory stayed with me." Mac replied that he thought it was the Bunnymen's worst-ever gig and promised the interviewer that the next time he saw Mac perform, it'd be ... perfect, I can't remember the exact word. It's a rather interesting interview. Kristin posted what appeared to be an auto-translation, and I thought I'd re-translate it as I know some Italian. It made for a good excuse for skiving an hour this morning ;-) - --Amy ====================================== http://www.bunnymenlist.com ====================================== ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 15 Jul 2003 19:26:00 -0700 From: "Ivan Smith" Subject: Re: seven-seas Some News the word from porcupine mgt. on this - evidently, gordy, mac's guitarist is working on the alex harvey project... as it stands, the mac vocal is at the "have your people talk to our people" stage... more word as firm news develops... - -I - ----- Original Message ----- From: "Zap" To: Cc: "Ivan Smith" Sent: Friday, March 28, 2003 6:35 PM Subject: seven-seas Some News > From http://www.sahb.co.uk > > THE SENSATIONAL ALEX HARVEY BAND are back with news of a collaborative > tribute to Alex album, already underway, and live appearances in August. The > album, called simply Alex, will feature new treatments of SAHB songs, > performed by Zal Cleminson, Hugh McKenna, Chris Glen and Ted McKenna. > > The vocals will be delivered by heavyweight names including > > Nick Cave: Midnight Moses > Alice Cooper: School's Out > Robert Smith (The Cure): Faith Healer > Ian McCulloch: track tbc > Billy Connolly: Buff's Bar Blues > Jake Black(Alabama 3): Man in the Jar > Joe Elliott (Def Leppard): Anthem > Ian Astbury (The Cult, on tour with The Doors): track tbc > > > > ====================================== > http://www.bunnymenlist.com > > ====================================== > - --- Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free.
