New tunes, but no great shakes--all sounded like b-sides from the debut LP. Structures were pretty neanderthal...actually, not even that...it wasn't "good" primitive. Just skeletal half-songs. No bridges, middle 8's, off-kilter anything. Verse chorus verse, chorus, verse, chorus, end. With maybe a lead in there somewhere. They were BORING, which, for a band like that, is the kiss of death. Hope I just caught a bad night (the mix was crap.) Anyone hear the new LP yet? This has been winding me up for a week now, and I'm surprised noone from the UK hasn't already pointed this out, but it may just be a reflection of just how sad my life really is.. The BBC are promoting their Proms season with lots of lush adverts, and their logo appears to be exactly the same as the Bunnygod but without the ears.... Other than that.. it's very similar http://www.bbc.co.uk/proms/ See for yourself.. Am I really going mad, is there any hope for me.. Do I need to go out more ??? I'm personally more shocked that you misspelled "plagiarised"! (I'll give you the zed vs. ess ;-) ) This Bunnygod is conducting, which is way cool. But what in heck is "Proms season"? Here, a prom is typically a dance held for high school seniors to finish out their school days -- usually done in May. It's supposed to be a BFD, but I didn't go to mine. The dresses girls wear these days to prom are scandalous! Music is either DJd or live (dance/rock) band. The slow dance is either hell or feel-up time or both, depending on the actions of you and your date. There is a prom scene in the movie with "Bring On The Dancing Horses" on the sound track, but don't blurt out the answer, as it's part of the 25 x 25 x 25 contest. Prom is short for promenade -- is this a special kind of symphonic concert? I do notice they are at the RAH, which again is pretty cool. If they'd put the Bunny ears back on, why, the Bunnymen might get some more minutes of fame! ====================================== http://www.bunnymenlist.com ====================================== ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 14 Jul 2003 16:05:59 -0500 From: "Amy Rupp" Subject: RE: seven-seas Review: T In The Park 2003, Main Stage > Sugababes? Nice teeth, too. I don't know about y'all, but looking good in tight jeans is not one of my Dad's strong points. Nice TEETH? Maybe the lead singer is more like David Lee Roth without being stuck on himself -- pure rock and roll theatrics and yeah, they're smiling, they're having a good time, and yet they still aren't vain. Plus Justin has a fun body to strip down to, though I didn't notice any twitching females in the audience when I saw them! ====================================== http://www.bunnymenlist.com ====================================== ------------------------------ End of seven-seas-digest V2 #541 ********************************
