You sure as hell can't tell any of that from their track samples...I woulda guessed they were at least 50 years old! hahahhaa (Although I didn't THINK they were.) ====================================== http://www.bunnymenlist.com ====================================== ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 05 Jul 2003 12:37:13 -0400 From: Red Subject: Re: seven-seas The Coral/Muse At 11:05 AM 7/5/03 -0500, you wrote: >Muse are supposed to be playing this fall :-) They sound like they have a little more potential, but the guy's another Thom Yorke wannabe. Word is that he is now staying fairly sober for the shows and doing a bang up job. Well I am probably going to drive to see them in Austin and definitely here in Dallas. I recommend anyone who is the least bit curious to go check them out. If anyone wants to meet up for these shows let me know. P.S. Fall albums for the new listener: The Unutterable (2000) Light User Syndrome (1996) Frenz Experiment (1987) This Nations Saving Grace (1985) Wonderful and Frightening World of The Fall (1984) Seriously, you can't go wrong with any of those albums. Each one is very listenable almost "poppy" compared to some of their more obtuse works. P.P.S. Never forget that Mac was a Fall roadie before the Bunnymen started. He has good taste! "The guy," Matt Bellamy, can not only sing, but can play the guitar like a god, and is far better looking. Drummer's cute too ;-) These things can make a difference in a live show ;-) Muse kinda has to grow on you as well, especially _Origins of Symmetry_, but it's well worth it. ====================================== http://www.bunnymenlist.com ====================================== ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 5 Jul 2003 14:16:57 -0500 (CDT) From: Amy Moseley Rupp Subject: Re: seven-seas The Fall > non-performances each night. Would definitely be up for a meet -- or perhaps in Dallas as well, if I know the dates. Going to Radiohead in (cough, sweat, slap mosquito) Houston? :-) ====================================== http://www.bunnymenlist.com ====================================== ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 5 Jul 2003 23:04:21 +0100 From: "Shaz" Subject: Re: seven-seas The Coral of course it is!! ;-)))) Shaz - ----- Original Message ----- From: "Red" To: Sent: Saturday, July 05, 2003 5:12 PM Subject: Re: seven-seas The Coral > At 04:16 PM 7/5/03 +0100, you wrote: > >no don't get the cd - I'll copy it for you if you like....then > >you can buy it if you like it enough ....but go see them > >live once you've got to know the tunes coz they are good > >live once you've got used to the tunes.... > > But see.....I can't get into the guy's voice...... > and I don't like the style of music... > so I can't see myself ever spending any money to go > see them live ...not to mention driving 4 hours...nah! > I don't have the convenience of just being able to > pop into a gig....so it has to really be worth my while. > Now...flying 3000 miles to see the Bunnymen with all of you... > that's worth my while! :-) :-) :-) > > Red > > > > ====================================== > http://www.bunnymenlist.com > > ====================================== ====================================== http://www.bunnymenlist.com ====================================== ------------------------------ End of seven-seas-digest V2 #518 ********************************
