Gawd, I just know I'm gonna cop it now... I was dancing about in a very stoned state to the Polyphonic Spree. Jimmy Cliff beforehand was totally brilliant, so Rizla's profits must have reached a high ( lol ) that afternoon... I do have all the BBC2 coverage from the festival thanks to me mum, so I'll be able to see some of what we missed when i get around to watching the tapes. Did you manage to catch The Bandits again, Stu ? Just curious, that's all, after your Oasis experience. They played an acoustic track on BBC3 during the weekend which was fantastic - they were buzzing about Glastonbury and being there with their mates ie. Zutons, The Basement & The Stands and other assorted members of the, er, 'Scruffle' scene. - -- Barry Whiting barry@urquell.freeserve.co.uk ====================================== http://www.bunnymenlist.com ====================================== - --------------------------------- Want to chat instantly with your online friends? You missed the fact that Polyphonic Spree are SHITE when one is sober. ;-) ====================================== http://www.bunnymenlist.com ====================================== ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 2 Jul 2003 18:48:53 -0500 (CDT) From: Amy Moseley Rupp Subject: Re: seven-seas Glastonbury > Well.. you know what these youngsters are like.. She is only 21 years old after all................. and I didn't say that I replied did I ? :-) Converting the young, eh Stu? :-) Matt broke his principles too -- one of his pet hates is people who take mobile phones to gigs and then sit there and either talk or text (I suppose only *send* text). I had to beg and beg to get him to take it -- I rang, the phone went off hook, Do It Clean finished, and click! Glasto was gone! Done by 7.43 am my time, 1.43 pm festival time, approximately, give or take the inaccuracy of my clock. :-) If I'd'a known YOU was going to take your phone I'd'a rung you instead! Or... perhaps a few mins earlier ;-) to hear more of the performance! - --Amy, whose brother whistled "Rescue" to his youngest niece as a lullabye last night!
