I never heard that before! hahaha Yes.... well, I did not want to cast aspersions on any of the honourable gentlemen here because I had no first hand experience on the matter. So I kept myself to myself about it, for quite some time now. But since Raj *confessed*.... The word used in place of "rather easy" began and ended in "s" and no, it was not either "scousers" or "studs." ;-) ;-) ====================================== http://www.bunnymenlist.com ====================================== ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 26 Jun 2003 21:27:31 -0400 From: Red Subject: Re: OT: seven-seas guys At 08:13 PM 6/26/03 -0500, you wrote: >Yes.... well, I did not want to cast aspersions on any of >the honourable gentlemen here because I had no first hand >experience on the matter. That gave me the creeps at 18 -- if the people who worked there needed to be behind concertina, why the heck was I getting on a train completely unarmed?! ====================================== http://www.bunnymenlist.com ====================================== ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 26 Jun 2003 21:34:17 -0400 From: Red Subject: Re: seven-seas OT OT you do not want my luck At 08:18 PM 6/26/03 -0500, you wrote: >Are the toll takers down the Tube behind barbed wire, as they >are in NYC? Most of it is automated....but I think they're behind glass... like most of the NYC tubes. I didn't see barbed wire! ====================================== http://www.bunnymenlist.com ====================================== ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 26 Jun 2003 20:24:14 -0500 (CDT) From: Amy Moseley Rupp Subject: Re: OTOTOT RE: RE: seven-seas OT: Those going to Glasto, who you gonna see? :-) > >How could you trust the judgment of some dude who > >slagged everyone from Texas? I think that was the wool that went over the eyes ;-) *I'm* just glad that my brother woulda chosen the Bunnymen over Mr Yorn -- I was beginning to think that I was going to have to deprogram him somehow, maybe by playing EATB at very low volumes while he sleeps ;-) Oh yeah! Hey! My EATB and Ian posters are round here somewhere, as well as my JD posters.... I CAN HANG THEM ON THE WALLS since they're MY WALLS!!!!!!!!! Whoo hoo! I've got a beautiful one that is simply an enlargement of the _HUH_ cover. - --Amy ====================================== http://www.bunnymenlist.com ====================================== ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 26 Jun 2003 21:39:54 -0400 From: Red Subject: seven-seas Re: OT NYC At 08:18 PM 6/26/03 -0500, you wrote: >who worked there needed to be behind concertina, why the >heck was I getting on a train completely unarmed?! I never felt unsafe in NYC ever. I've walked alone at night there too. I rode the tube alone yesterday. I walked in Central Park alone yesterday too. Of course it was daylight and I was only in Strawberry Fields.....OH, that reminds me...... they were filming a Dr. Ruth interview while I was sitting on a park bench eating a hot dog. <----(highly overrated!) The only thing I saw that was scary (besides Dr. Ruth! heheheehe) were the two policemen standing on Times Sq. with some big fucking black machine guns. WTF???? There was a cameraman across the street....though. ====================================== http://www.bunnymenlist.com ====================================== ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 26 Jun 2003 20:43:25 -0500 (CDT) From: Amy Moseley Rupp Subject: Re: OT: seven-seas guys > >Yes.... well, I did not want to cast aspersions on any of > >the honourable gentlemen here because I had no first hand > >experience on the matter. > > I was actually wondering who the female was that told you the info!! hahahhaa Well, yeah, cos then that leads up to "how would she know?" But I'm keeping her identity a secret to protect the innocent -- her conclusion was based on bragging by these boys rather than sampling the product (wink wink). Or perhaps by turning up at a rather awkward time at someone's flat and, well.... ;-) Oh, and in reading some web sites about cider it said that the good West Country stuff is actually stronger than beer, more at wine, and that many a new drinker has stood up after drinking a few pints only to find themselves on the floor. ;-) ;-) I wonder if any of the festivalgoers to Glastonbury will experience that phenomenon? ====================================== http://www.bunnymenlist.com ====================================== ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 26 Jun 2003 20:45:29 -0500 (CDT) From: Amy Moseley Rupp Subject: Re: seven-seas Re: OT NYC > I rode the tube alone yesterday. What was overrated, Dr. Ruth or the hot dog? There's a joke in there somewhere ;-) I never felt *super* unsafe in NYC. No, the "scared shitless as a tourist" award goes to LA, downtown, Hollywood and Vine. - --Amy (happy cos my Harry Potter copy showed up from England today!) ====================================== http://www.bunnymenlist.com ====================================== ------------------------------ End of seven-seas-digest V2 #490 ********************************
