I've spent many an afternoon on that beach when I really should have been working !! My office was only about 20 miles from there. Oh well, a couple of days and I'll be at Glasto preparing for the guys to blow away the opposition on Friday.. Thursday evening will be spent at the Joe Strummer memorial stone that has been laid.. After that it will get messy !! Later, Stu carlito way wrote: I'm sure you will all join me in congratulating Stuart and wish him all the best during his time "out-to-stud". This week's winner is: Stu B., known to some as "Glasto Man". Thanks Sharon, I'll check them out -- do they tread that familar scouse sound ? ...Speaking of which, I finally managed to check out The Zutons single and it's brilliant (Good shout, Stu.). Can't recommend it highly enough. Laid-back and easy, it's definitely the sound of Scallydom without paying that all-to-familiar service to The La's. They're currently getting great reviews supporting The Thrills which is a double header worth checking out....(I was lucky enough to catch The Thrills at The Coral's all-dayer on Saturday just outside Liverpool -- they are this year's sound of the summer, surely. Oh, and The Libertines....blistering live. Not a big fan of the recorded stuff but live...dynamite) - -- Barry - -- Barry Whiting barry@urquell.freeserve.co.uk ====================================== http://www.bunnymenlist.com ====================================== ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 24 Jun 2003 23:10:15 -0500 (CDT) From: Amy Moseley Rupp Subject: Re: seven-seas Cranebuilders/Zutons > year's sound of the summer, surely. Oh, and The Libertines....blistering > live. Not a big fan of the recorded stuff but live...dynamite) Saw The Libertines on TOTP awhile back and thought them good! forgot to mention that. Played along with Good Charlotte, and as far as TOTP goes, it was a great show, especially for those of us who don't normally get to hear or see UK bands. - --Amy Currently playing in our house: the _Bob The Builder: Live!_ DVD which is only available in the UK. The three-year-old doesn't seem to notice the accent changes. I'm getting rather tired of hearing Bob say "Roight!"
