It's got piano, anyway, Zevon is dying so it might be a nice tribute. - --- Red wrote: > At 05:10 PM 6/17/03 -0500, you wrote: > > >If he thought Cave couldn't sing, I'd imagine Mac > wouldn't > >want to write a song just to hear Cave butcher it > ;-) so > >I imagine it might be the other way round. > > uhhh.....Cave CAN sing! > > And yes Shaz....I do remember that thread but I > can't > recall which way round it was myself either. > > >The reality is that only a few folks are going to > have relevant > >and rare information like (and forgive me if I miss > you out) Charles, > >Ivan, ChrisA, et al -- > > I can be relevant....but I choose not to be. > Because I get the ole....'are you bragging?' routine > when I do. > So I don't. > > Red > > > > ====================================== > http://www.bunnymenlist.com > > ====================================== > __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? I'm sure you all have them already though eh? And am I the only one who got into the Bunnymen right when Crocodiles was released??? it seems that way from recent posts but please someone post and say it ain't so! I was lucky though, being a frequent customer at Lou's Records in Encinitas the owners would always be playing the "newest thing" from the UK and luckily I walked in at the right time and they have been my favorite band since. Some minor disappointments along the way but nothing like Gang of Four's career eh? And RED what beach are you going to in Penn? Pardon my west coast ignorance! Though of course California is always ahead of the rest of US ;-) > And RED what beach are you going to in Penn? Pardon my west coast ignorance! I'd just ASSumed ;-) that she'd gone to a beach somewhere on the East Coast because I grew up on the Gulf of Mexico and beach = salt = sea. But there are beautiful fresh water beaches up thataways.... the Michigan side of Lake Michigan, for example, is beautiful and much more swimmable than Lake Ontario. (No, I don't think either lake borders on PA, it's just *close* in Texas terms :-P) But gosh is that Pacific Ocean COLD! I thought LA = warm and on a visit to Manhattan Beach when I was 18, I jumped right in -- and back out again! Brrrrrrrrrrr!!!!! I'm used to beach water at 80+ degrees (which is why we get hurricanes) and boy did I get a big shock! (This was in *August* as well.) - --Amy ====================================== http://www.bunnymenlist.com ====================================== ------------------------------ End of seven-seas-digest V2 #478 ********************************
