That and havin'ta remember all the words and their correct spelling taxes the mind, ya know. The Yuppies inspired the ETLA DINK. Of course, I've mostly been a DIWK ;-) I have a packet of these teeth flossing gizmos in the bathroom and they are called Wild Flossers. In the morning, I can't see (blind as a bat without contacts) and the text looks like "Wild Tossers." Makes me laugh every time. Useful little things they are too. There was an entire article on the texting culture that I was reading .... they call it "thumbing" to enter the text; and of course you can get "thumbitis" or some such from overdoing it. WHY NOT JUST CALL? is it that much more expensive? Okay, it's 10 cents per text message here, but you only get 100 characters. Unlimited incoming messages for free though. I lust after a Blackberry in my heart, but it's $30/month subscription (wireless email). If I drive close enough to a certain sandwich chain here with my laptop they have free Wi-Fi :-) The T1 is coming today..... :-) but I've been lectured on the appropriate use. I have to figure out how to cheat the system ;-) - --Amy ====================================== http://www.bunnymenlist.com ====================================== ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 12 Jun 2003 23:42:56 +0100 From: "Noose Boy" Subject: RE: seven-seas The Art of Mac aka Mac Art(hur) Valium did the trick for me on my flight from London to Cuba - -----Original Message----- From: owner-seven-seas@smoe.org [mailto:owner-seven-seas@smoe.org] On Behalf Of Amy Rupp Sent: 12 June 2003 19:04 To: seven-seas@smoe.org Subject: RE: seven-seas The Art of Mac aka Mac Art(hur) > I am a walking shot of dramamine, so your flight over would > be nerve-free. > I have no idea what that means... it's not true, none of it. > I take it all > back! I need a walking shot of Valium in very high doses and someone to make sure I keep breathing ;-) Halcion'd be good too. Both. Childbirth? Piece of cake. Plane trip? I need a coach. And not to *be* in coach ;-) "Focus on what you will achieve by enduring this agony.... Not too much longer now.... here, can I wipe your brow or feed you ice chips?" Yup, you say "born and bred" which makes me laugh when I see it on my family history email lists because DIDN'T THE BREEDING PART OCCUR *BEFORE* THE BIRTH? or is it really *that* different over there? You don't have Chris' evil sysadmins throwing PVCs everytime he gets too many mails..... While indeed there is no moderation, it appears as though only four of us (five?) are conversing, and some folks would say that since it's not of general interest, it ought to be taken to a chat room or list. Please do not go to a chat room, as I can't go. Hmmm, that might be an incentive for some! ;-) ====================================== http://www.bunnymenlist.com ====================================== ====================================== http://www.bunnymenlist.com ====================================== ------------------------------ End of seven-seas-digest V2 #442 ********************************
