There is a wealth of opinion and knowledge here in the members of this list. Part of being a community is sharing that to see if one can reaffirm, change, or reject an opinion, as well as learn about things like ticket prices, lodging in various cities, and the like. If we stuck only to fact, we might as well have a web site, since one cannot discuss fact without opinion unless the only thing one does is to correct someone! And as you see, correction is not usually taken well. IMNSHO people who have an issue with something someone's written should contact that person offlist. It's much, much easier to either clear up a matter or politely agree to disagree in private than it is to feel like one has to "save face" in public. This list is *not* about who knows whom and who likes whom and who dislikes whom. On the other hand, taking the time to read enough contributions from a given lister will give you a general feel for their personality so that you can understand their strengths, weaknesses, biases, hot buttons, and annoying behaviours ;-) and understand that in general, people write honestly, including all their flaws, and not just to piss someone else off. ====================================== http://www.bunnymenlist.com ====================================== ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 12 Jun 2003 13:03:13 -0400 From: Peter Charbonneau Subject: RE: seven-seas The Art of Mac aka Mac Art(hur) i forgot the nudge nudge, wink wink portion of my post.... my response was fully in jest. My sarcasm just didn't shine through. Looks like I need to break out the Pledge and dust it off...
