OTOTOTOTOTOT the bunnylist meet both before was great fun!! - -- raj & Barry were there, Raj even managed to find his nominated pub without getting lost & has vowed in future to only meet people in pubs near rivers !! ( or some such craziness) Nano was there with his old school friend who had as good taste in music as nano does! -- After the gig Gonzalos (thats probably wrong sorry) told us that he ended up sitting next to two people from his work !! - small world eh -- - He said he just thought Bollocks cos he didn't particularly like them !!:-)-- Oh & what a fantastic way for Nano to celebrate finishing his exams. Shaz & BaldyMan also made it there due to some spare tickets being available -- they were upstairs with the less rowdy elements. Fintan too.. although we kept on moving pubs before the gig in the vain hope that he wouldn't keep up with us ;-)) he still found us at the venue We all arranged to meet by the Marti Pellow (?) poster outside -- can't remember why now -- think someone wanted to make sure they had made a note of the dates or something.. On the way out of the gig we were found by KP & Mrs KP who we knew was there...I was looking for them when we got to the venue & I thought if I go around looking at all the people sitting down really obviously KP would see me & Yell "Hi Loo!!" -- HA! -- he saw me ... but slid lower into his seat i do believe ;-) so we had a mini bunnymeet by the marti Pellow poster after the gig too whle everyone said Great Fantastic Awesome etc & then we all agreed to meet at Brighton, Liverpool London etc before moseying along home :-) what lovely people you all are -- it was a pleasure! ====================================== http://www.bunnymenlist.com ====================================== ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 08 Jun 2003 18:11:13 -0400 From: Red Subject: RE: seven-seas - Cave--! Yep, I think we're all in agreement about the Bunnymen set list! Maybe coz all us fanatics have seen them sooooo many times! However, maybe it's not laziness?? Maybe they feel that is their best chance of converting Bunny virgins?? I dunno why they won't change the set list, I've heard Will is quite keen to throw in a few different ones, but not Mac?? > > Red I really don't want you to feel like I'm rubbing it in........but > ............'FUCKING AMAZING!!!!!' I'm sure you're gonna see some positive > feedback from others. Yep, it was great, your seats upstairs we're good Red but I guess like any gig it's always best in the thick of it downstairs......I could see the couple that looloo mentioned going crazy up the front and was thinking that's what us nutters must look like when people watch a Bunny gig from upstairs - he he.... The crowd was VERY enthusiastic!! and there was a bit of interaction with the crowd from Mr Cave which went down well. I hate it when performers act as if the crowd aren't there!! > > The first coupla no's were performed with the audience seated and the sound > was awesome. Hope Mrs KP feels better soon!! I thought he was excellent, great songs, fantastic performance from him and the band (not sure about the guest vocalist guy - who was he?!!! I could've done without him!! he'd be better off dueting with Meatloaf).Ug!! Really enjoyed the gig but not as much as I enjoy the Bunnymen/Mac solo (even with the same old faithful setlist).... We got on the wrong train on the way home and had to get off at Staines!! Then there were no more trains back to Kingston or anywhere so we had to get a cab ............tut.........very annoying as the sign said Platform 1 Kingston and the train details also said it was going to Kingston - very odd......I guess we hit the Twightlight Zone - it was a spooky night what with Gonzo ;-) bumping into his work colleagues at the gig and Barry bumping into someone he worked with too in the pub who was also going to the gig and Fintan being in a different time zone to us, Raj *not* getting lost - weird... thanks people for a bril evening...
