Good for me cos a bunch of us from here are off to see him Sat night. I'll certainly be ready for a beer, after the last 2 weeks of Spanish exams and assessments. Anyway think I'll leave the shop early, see you at The Dove. '....it's a wonderful life, if you can find it...' - - think the voddy is kicking in, hope I remember some of this Spanish in the exam tomorrow. A deliberate attempt to steer away from The Beatles heritage saw plenty (and I mean plenty) of references to The Bunnymen (from listeners as well as radio journalists). The tag line was "if you've never heard of The Bunnymen give them a listen for no other reason than they are the coolest band ever" which is pretty, er, cool, eh ? Mac was on, briefly, at one point, talking about (ironically, given recent list content) how the award was important for the working class folks in Liverpool. And just to clear things up, Mac's not working class, more "shirking class" (...boom...tish, everyone's a winner) - -- B. - -- Barry Whiting barry@urquell.freeserve.co.uk ====================================== http://www.bunnymenlist.com ====================================== ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 6 Jun 2003 23:36:49 -0500 (CDT) From: Amy Moseley Rupp Subject: Re: seven-seas swinging singles > you scream at gigs?? At the appropriate times and at the appropriate volume. And never shit like "you rule, Mac." It ain't a good rock gig unless I come home hoarse! - --Amy ====================================== http://www.bunnymenlist.com ====================================== ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 7 Jun 2003 01:36:59 -0500 (CDT) From: Amy Moseley Rupp Subject: Re: seven-seas swinging singles > I thought doing it wrong didn't result in kids?????? Depends on which part you get wrong, dunnit? :-) It's rough to try to establish one's engineering career and have a child so relatively young. But I chose to do so. It would have also been easy to forgo a second child -- would've made work issues easier, and divorce easier. But I wouldn't trade either of them for the world. I've chosen my kids over all else at every decision point save *perhaps* the decision to divorce, and I've never been sorry. - --Amy ====================================== http://www.bunnymenlist.com ====================================== ------------------------------ End of seven-seas-digest V2 #388 ********************************
