(this is a fairly common question around here because so few are actually born here vs moved here, including myself) He said, "England." I said, "Where?" He repeated "England," as if I were a bit thick. :-) I said, "No, where in England?" He said, "Farnham, in Surrey, about an hour and a half southwest of London." I said, "Yeah, I know where it is." (He stares.) (hey, there's a registration district based there, which is the only reason why) I rattle off some place names and he nods. When I mention Bristol he is very enthusiastic and mentions Massive Attack and Portishead. I mention Echo and the Bunnymen, expecting the usual sort of "are they still together?" answer, and he got the strangest look on his face. I thought he was going to say they were awful, but instead, he said, "I saw them in New York City when they toured with New Order, and they were so good that I got back in the queue and got tickets for the next night." Apparently they played on some sort of barge in the harbour? Oh, how I wish I'd gone to some date on that tour!!!! - --Amy ====================================== http://www.bunnymenlist.com ====================================== ====================================== http://www.bunnymenlist.com ====================================== ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 3 Jun 2003 09:25:46 +0100 From: "Noose Boy" Subject: RE: seven-seas Ramblings OT again I can't stand them, just seemed SO false. They're talking about doing a musical off broadway apparently. I'm going to camp right next to Stu at Glasto and hypnotise him with Lightning Seeds until we cure him of the Spree. - -----Original Message----- From: owner-seven-seas@smoe.org [mailto:owner-seven-seas@smoe.org] On Behalf Of Shaz Sent: 02 June 2003 23:08 To: seven-seas@smoe.org Subject: Re: seven-seas Ramblings OT again oh my god!! They just seemed to darn false. Now for a REAL acid trip, The Shamen or Gaye Bykers on Acid were pretty good at trippy gigs. - -----Original Message----- From: owner-seven-seas@smoe.org [mailto:owner-seven-seas@smoe.org] On Behalf Of Amy Moseley Rupp Sent: 03 June 2003 05:32 To: seven-seas@smoe.org Subject: Re: seven-seas Ramblings OT again > Never heard of them!
