A large public library will have a wider array of general interest and music periodicals, but may throw them out after a decade or so. A university library keeps things indefinitely. There are periodical index databases. Any library can get stuff through interlibrary loan, once you have all the particulars (vol.#, date, page # etc.) And have a chat with the Reference Librarian; in my experience, they are universally friendly, helpful people. :) I spent several days hunting for Bunnies some years ago, and had quite a good catch. - - K UW keeps Rolling Stone in the 'rare books' section. I had to sign in and give them my card to look at it. :) ====================================== http://www.bunnymenlist.com ====================================== ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 2 Jun 2003 19:14:32 +0100 (BST) From: =?iso-8859-1?q?Stu=20Bird?= Subject: RE: seven-seas RE: OTOTOT KFC I used to wonder about the habit women in the 80's had.. The one where they spent half an hour plucking their eyebrows, then another half an hour pencilling them back in again.. The 16 yr old step daughter has a brilliant one... Just HAS to have these Buffalo trainers..no others will do ( part of the skate-punk thing or something ). Then she demands a pair of jeans that are so flared, you can't even tell if she's wearing trainers yet alone what flavour they are.. Stu " Never buy a dwarf with learning difficulties.. I saw The Smiths with a very young James supporting, and they were really good. They played Bristol Hippodrome which is a very grandiose venue usually reserved for orchestras, pantos etc, but the sound was excellent I must say.. Stu looloo wrote: The Smiths were the worst live sounding bands in 25 years of concert going, but I must admit the audience was having one of the best times. Everybody was litterally dancing (not just standing) on their chairs or dancing in the aisles. ............ i saw the Smiths once - they were doing a freebie for the GLC - & it was a lovely sunny Bank Holiday ( we do get sunny ones sometimes) & it was in the car park of the old County hall... It was fantastic & the atmosphere was just "happy" - people were clibing all over the building & dancing on window ledges & stuff. those were the days ;-) looloo ====================================== http://www.bunnymenlist.com ====================================== - --------------------------------- Yahoo!
