No no no..... Over the various years I've expressed the sentiment that I wish I'd been born male just cos of my interests and outlook on things; but if I *say* that, anyone who's interested in me romantically has obviously been a little freaked out! I know several men who are now women, and that seems really extreme to me. Thinking one would've had an easier time of it as a male and actually DOING something about it are two completely different matters! As to your second question, the answer is uncategorically NO, I think, because I'd never try such a thing! ====================================== http://www.bunnymenlist.com ====================================== ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 2 Jun 2003 07:11:05 -0500 (CDT) From: Amy Moseley Rupp Subject: Re: seven-seas Ramblings > Oh, I picked up on it, but you know how I can't correct anyone.... > besides...I figured out that she was talking about the > ones that do it for HER on the album she picked...so.... Yes.... my reason in talking about that hard chapter in their lives was merely to illustrate that The Smiths and many, many other bands and their members have had major disagreements about artistic and moral integrity vs continuing to make a go of it as a (reformed) group missing some of its original members. I can see both points of view, and as I said, I'm glad they've worked it out to the degree they have (they being Mac and Will). Would that Morrissey and Marr could do the same thing, because you need both of them to make that special music.... hmmmm.... M&M! Sort of like Lennon/ McCartney where the halves are much less than the whole. What I write is meant to provoke thought and not anger, and if it has done otherwise, then I retract, because it's just not worth it for me or for anyone else. - --Amy ====================================== http://www.bunnymenlist.com ====================================== ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 2 Jun 2003 07:11:39 -0500 (CDT) From: Amy Moseley Rupp Subject: Re: seven-seas Ramblings > Correction for my Mac solo statement. I disagree. Whilst there is no doubting that their pairing in the Smiths was a magical one, Morrissey has also created some pretty damn special music as a solo artist. Though yes, it would be nice to see them back together. >What I write is meant to provoke thought and not anger, No, no.... what *you* wrote did not provoke anger..... ====================================== http://www.bunnymenlist.com ====================================== ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 02 Jun 2003 09:04:40 -0400 From: Rob Maher Subject: Re: seven-seas Ramblings >> Oh.....and about Reverberation..... >> while I like them all.....anything from >> Thick Skinned World to the end does it for me!! >> The music is fucking awesome........on the whole album............ >> I don't care what anyone else thinks, >> but I know I'm not the only one who really digs it!! Funny, I was just listening to Reverberation. I really like that album too. I must say that the music especially is great on that one. I don't really think of it as an EATB album though, so I don't compare it to the other albums. For me, it has its own separate identity. I think some of it has to do with what I was going through in my life when it came out.
