I never said it wasn't a good album -- just that I preferred the Grey Album -- and I mentioned that a lot of it had to do with timing in my life. ====================================== http://www.bunnymenlist.com ====================================== ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 2 Jun 2003 09:07:29 +0100 From: matt.harkness@bt.com Subject: RE: seven-seas Ramblings >Okay, which songs on _Reverberation_ do it for you? Lost And Found, All My Life, Lips and New Direction are most certainly not on Reverberation, and yet the above paragraph definitely suggests that the author thinks they are..... Personally speaking, I do like Reverberation. We've covered the subject time and time again, but I'll say it again - if only they'd released it under another band name it would probably have received critical acclaim instead of the slating it got. I have heard it said, though I don't know if it's true, that, after Mac left, the band were still contractually obliged to the label to release one more album under the "Echo & the Bunnymen" brand name. I can think of no other reason for them using the other than it was purely a "Fuck you, Mac" statement. Comparatively speaking, the eponymous grey album was shite, though it still knocked spots off of just about anything else that was around at the time.... Matt, cheap bastard. ====================================== http://www.bunnymenlist.com ====================================== ------------------------------ End of seven-seas-digest V2 #360 ********************************
