Fans, who have paid out more than #100 for tickets, have finally learnt that they will get to see performances by David Gray, Manic Street Preachers and Sugababes. The line-up had, as recent tradition dictates, been kept under wraps even though the event next month is a sell-out. But some major acts, Radiohead and REM, had already announced they were to top the bill. Both bands will be making return visits and a repeat performance by Radiohead, who stole the show in 1997, is a particular triumph for organiser Michael Eavis. He has been trying to get them back for several years. It took less than a day for festival-goers to buy out all the tickets for the event which takes place from June 27 to 29. Acts on the main Pyramid Stage include Supergrass, hip hop pioneers De La Soul, Suede and ambient star Moby. Acoustic duo Turin Brakes, Macy Gray and Flaming Lips play the same stage. Norwegian electronic duo Royksopp, atmospheric guitar band Doves and The Coral are among acts to perform on The Other Stage. Primal Scream and true 60s music legends Love - acclaimed for UK shows earlier this year - also play. Acts in the Dance Tent include the Streets, Chemical Brothers and Audio Bullys. Saturday night on the New Stage is oddly headlined by John Cale, who first found fame in the mid-60s with the Velvet Underground. More contemporary performers on the New Stage include Lemon Jelly, I Am Kloot and chart stars Junior Senior. Fatboy Slim performs in the Dance Tent on the Friday night, just hours before a performance by Themroc, which features DJ Dan Peppe. Peppe was linked with Fatboy Norman Cook's wife Zoe Ball earlier this year. Echo And The Bunnymen singer Ian McCulloch - appearing on the Pyramid Stage on Friday - has had a long-standing feud with Julian Cope, who performs on the Acoustic Stage the same day. The Waterboys - who celebrated the area in 1993 in their Glastonbury Song - will perform 19 years after their first appearance at the festival. ====================================== http://www.bunnymenlist.com ====================================== ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 30 May 2003 11:40:11 -0500 (CDT) From: Amy Moseley Rupp Subject: Re: RE: seven-seas Big Brother otototototoo spanish; > I think it's the fashion these days to have a stalker Beware, though, any would-be American stalkers: it'd be expen$ive to call Raj on that number!
