Well, to be honest....I've only heard it once, maybe twice, except for the 4 times live. yeah yeah yeah.... I know....but I never heard a copy till the morning of the Sheffield gig, coz I didn't have time to look for it before I went to England. And to be honest...I don't know which damn song is which! hehehee (I still don't have it yet....forgot to buy it while I was in England.) That makes it frustrating when people keep talking about Arthur and Kansas...coz I don't even know if those songs are in my opinion worthy of all this talk! But even so....I think the album is just...........ok. Sorry. It doesn't really jump out and grab me. So I wasn't really in a big rush to go out and buy it. I would have gotten it if they had been selling it on the tour. As I told a load of people, I thought the Candleland stuff and the Cohen and Velvets stuff was the highlight of the tour. The new stuff was just okay. I wish I could feel differently... but I can't. Personally, I'm looking forward to the 25th Anniversary tour! I expect Georgie to have new "smart-crosses" which go stright to the intended victim whilst not disturbing those around it ;-) I think we'd say "Bible thumpers" -- bashing something here usually means speaking out against it. > Religion is not important here with only a very, very small percentage who actively practice. Funnily enough, there is one local person who puts his own cross up in his garden as a protest to Glastonbury every year and it's a huge mother.. much bigger than is needed for one person. Perhaps I should burn him a compilation of Bunnytunes. Why on Earth a cross? I can think of several reasons, but they all seem a bit contrived. While the live versions can devia(n)te from the recorded ones, most of the songs are absolutely clean. There's no: * cuss words * sex between obviously unmarried persons or animals * drug use * disrespect for religion, the government, or one's parents In other words, WalMart wouldn't have to edit the albums to sell them! (You do know they do that, right?) ====================================== http://www.bunnymenlist.com ====================================== ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 25 May 2003 15:48:14 -0500 (CDT) From: Amy Moseley Rupp Subject: Re: seven-seas RewiReviews.com > It doesn't really jump out and grab me. Merchandisers take note!!!! :-) > Personally, I'm looking forward to the 25th Anniversary tour! Please dear God let me be free by then and able to go. I can't take this much longer! I wish I could've gone to the Mac solo dates or go to Glastonbury, but I can't. I'm still trying to visualise making that damned plane trip and I still think being hit over the head with a large object and being knocked out cold would be the way to travel :-) BA supposedly have seats which fold out into *beds* in bidness class, but I can't afford that! Though hmmm, wouldn't they have to police that area for would-be mile-high clubbers? LOL Was sad to see that the Concorde flights have stopped. - --Amy ====================================== http://www.bunnymenlist.com ====================================== ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 25 May 2003 23:04:46 +0100 From: "looloo" Subject: RE: seven-seas this is bugging me -- TOTALLY OTOTOTOTOTOTOT thats it!!! hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm but i remember totally creasing up the first time i heard it !! i was probably tiddly at the time - -----Original Message----- From: owner-seven-seas@smoe.org [mailto:owner-seven-seas@smoe.org]On Behalf Of K.P. Is it not a tad expensive? Surely as fans we have the original and the E/fix 7" or can trade. Considering a new album from cdwow or similar is nine quid what benefit do we get?
