Mine would have to be REM's losing my religion, rechristened by me Losing my mind, because I swear at least a week hasn't gone by where I haven't heard which would be like 12 years? Living in Canada ,Alannah Myles Black Velvet was probably a close second, and the godawful Nickelback's How you remind me is gaining on that song, much to mu disgust. I can honestly count on one hand the number of times I have heard EATB on the radio, five bloody times, Killing Moon and Lips like sugar twice each and Never Stop once, all were on an 80's request lunchtime show. __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? Hi Louise, Episode 3 of Re:Covered (with Ian McCulloch etc) is being shown on BBC One on the 12 May. I'm not sure of the time but if you go to the BBC's online listings area: What's On (http://www.bbc.co.uk/cgi-perl/whatson/search/grid.cgi?MEDIUM=tv) and type 're:covered' into the search box it should tell you exactly when it's on BBC Three and BBC One (but it only works 7 days in advance). So check the listings online next Monday (5th) and it should have more details. Episode 2 was repeated on BBC One on the 28 May so perhaps you just taped the wrong show? I hope this helps, and doesn't just confuse you even more! ;-) Hope this helps, Nicole www.bbc.co.uk/bbcthree ====================================== http://www.bunnymenlist.com ====================================== ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 05 May 2003 08:59:57 -0400 From: Rob Maher Subject: Re: seven-seas Overplayed radio Forgive me for not picking a single song, but If I'm going to be honest, for me its any song by Dave Matthews. I mean we've already bought a supposed "license" To use the recordings for private use. If it's Just a better sounding version of the same thing, It should be made available to previous owners for A modest "media upgrade" fee instead of full price again... (most of us have already paid for vinyl, cassette, and cd once!) A possible compromise would be to put a 2 minute silence Track, inbetween the album and bonus tracks... This would allow the album to play through as originally Released... Then you can restart the disc, or listen to The extra stuff. Or include an additional disc, With all the era bsides/demos etc. - -----Original Message----- From: owner-seven-seas@smoe.org [mailto:owner-seven-seas@smoe.org] On Behalf Of somethinstrange@webtv.net Sent: May 3, 2003 11:51 AM To: seven-seas@smoe.org Subject: Re: seven-seas-digest V2 #234 sorry if this ia a bit late on the subject but I _like_ extra tracks on remasters! :) love and rockets recently released their first four cds, remastered, new art work and with extra tracks, all relevant to the time period. ie b-sides, unreleased tracks and 12 in. mixes from the albums same period or sessions. and they're great! they even released the impossible to find "swing ep" and radio show including the interview. It all flowed well and even gave a better glimpse of what they were doing musically at the time. also, I know several people who WON'T buy a remastered cd EVER without any extra tracks... their thought on the subject is "why bother?" and if ya think about it... as fans... aren't we getting kinda 'screwed' buying something we sort of already have? btw before you shout... YES I will buy all the new bunny stuff released... and have through the years... just gets really expensive sometimes... and I feel so much better about it all when there are extras. fwiw I still have to order the "new" avalache just for the two EF tracks officially put to cd. last cd I purchased was The Creatures "sad cunt" cd single because three years ago it was sold as a ltd edition 7in only release... and the fans bitched that they wanted it put to cd. so now I have both. I'm glad though as I prefer cds now. more convienient and, at the mo, both my turntables have bust. :( oh and Amy, I too was a PIB. always wear the eyeliner but the lipstick pissed me off because it always came off on my drinks and cigarettes! -hee, sounds like a sissies siong, dunnit? ====================================== http://www.bunnymenlist.com ====================================== ====================================== http://www.bunnymenlist.com ====================================== ------------------------------ End of seven-seas-digest V2 #247 ********************************
