And = well he should, given that he's in his forties and they don't make it = anymore. Melancholy Macca's never needed to crave cred and the current live = tie-in with th heavily-influenced Coldplay will unleash a wave of = interest from future fans yet to know their Killing Moon from their = Alfie Moon. Will Sargeant's luscious guitar licks are to the fore, now he and = McCulloch have made up. And the album includes a guest slot, = interestingly, from the edgier Ralph Little of UK thespianism, John = Simm.=20 Chris Martin's got it all to come. Many years ago I was in the pub with my girlfriend (of the moment) and a couple of smart witted mates. Now she turns and says to me 'x y z blah blah blah' (details irrelevant but content innocuous) to which the reply came from my mouth 'fuck off'. 'HAAAAAAA!!!!!! Freudian slip' cried my mates'. I still think if they hadn't said anything I coulda got away with it. > That reminds me of a Freudian slip I made last year, when dining with my > (now) ex-girlfriend. > I meant to say "honey, could you please pass the butter?" > But you know how Freudian slips are... > Instead, I accidentally said "Jeeezus fuk, you wire-haired man-goblin, you > ruined my g0ddamn life." > Funny how things like that just slip out. > > --CA > > > > > amyr@jump.net (Amy Moseley Rupp) > Sent by: owner-seven-seas@smoe.org > 02-May-2003 04:38 PM > Please respond to seven-seas > > > To: seven-seas@smoe.org > cc: > Subject: seven-seas misheard lyric of the day > > > "Don't let your son go down on me." > > --Elton John > > > > ====================================== > http://www.bunnymenlist.com > > ====================================== > > > > ====================================== > http://www.bunnymenlist.com > > ====================================== > > - --- Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free. Mine would have to be REM's losing my religion, rechristened by me Losing my mind, because I swear at least a week hasn't gone by where I haven't heard which would be like 12 years? Living in Canada ,Alannah Myles Black Velvet was probably a close second, and the godawful Nickelback's How you remind me is gaining on that song, much to mu disgust. I can honestly count on one hand the number of times I have heard EATB on the radio, five bloody times, Killing Moon and Lips like sugar twice each and Never Stop once, all were on an 80's request lunchtime show. __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? Living in Canada ,Alannah Myles Black Velvet > was probably a close second, and the godawful I love LMR, because the lyrics are some of my favourite written -- they could be my life. But yeah, it got overplayed. Could do worse though -- Shiny Happy People is far more nauseous and it got a LOT of airtime. Speaking of nausea, Black Velvet got a LOT of airtime here as well, what with who Alannah's daddy is and all, "Mama's bay-beeeee's in the heart of every schoolgirrrrrl...." I think Red may be en route to the UK, but I'm sure she'd want Celine Dion mentioned -- "My Heart Goes On (Theme From _Titanic_)" went on, and on, and on, and on. Then it was chosen by the Columbine High Senior Class of whenever the shooting took place as their senior class song and got played AGAIN. Dunno why you're getting LMR up there so often. We don't here, and hell it ain't CanCon unless there's some producer or business bloke I don't know about which I doubt because I'm an REM fan. Inevitably the overplayed song comes on when I'm at the dentist, or having my hair cut, or some other situation in which I can't escape. - --Amy ====================================== http://www.bunnymenlist.com ====================================== ------------------------------ End of seven-seas-digest V2 #245 ********************************
