Happened to a friend of mine. He arranged a date and time for them to come and collect it, then was conveniently out when they called. They rescheduled, so he made sure he was out again. They gave up after that so he still has it...... ====================================== http://www.bunnymenlist.com ====================================== ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 29 Apr 2003 11:25:47 +0100 From: "Noose Boy" Subject: RE: seven-seas freeview - ''If you don't fancy getting a dish att ached to your house...'' I live in a house that was split into 4 flats, with 3-4 aerial sockets per flat, all sharing one TV aerial on the roof. The pic for TV is great and I got On Digital when it first came out, cos they had all the Champs League footy, and then one of the other flats got it too. Never had a prob with signal with TV or On Digital. Guess we were lucky. Gave the box back just before I went travelling, wish I hadn't now. I do like the fact that they offer the next in a series immediately if you flick over to one of these freeview channels. - -----Original Message----- From: owner-seven-seas@smoe.org [mailto:owner-seven-seas@smoe.org] On Behalf Of matt.harkness@bt.com Sent: 29 April 2003 09:24 To: seven-seas@smoe.org Subject: RE: seven-seas freeview - ''If you don't fancy getting a dish att ached to your house...'' >except most people also need a new aerial stuck on their chimney! Is that still the case with Freeview? I know it was with On/ITV Digital, but apparently (so their tech guys said) it was because they transmitted in three different frequency bands, and most people could only pick up one or two with their existing aerial, not all three. I would've thought that that isn't a problem with Freeview (mine works through my old aerial instead of the fucking monstrosity I had to have put up by OnDigital). ====================================== http://www.bunnymenlist.com ====================================== ====================================== http://www.bunnymenlist.com ====================================== ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 29 Apr 2003 11:26:56 +0100 (BST) From: =?iso-8859-1?q?Stu=20Bird?= Subject: RE: seven-seas freeview - ''If you don't fancy getting a dish att ached to your house...'' Yep... New ariel needed for me, but where i live has always been bad for tv reception. Stu matt.harkness@bt.com wrote: Is that still the case with Freeview?
