Good call...it's a helluva lot easier than accepting things for what dey ISN'T. I guess that's why I ain't a music journo ;-) Everyone on this list, in their way, is a music journalist, by nature of this being a music list, and it being the written word and all. I've just figured out how to get (somewhat) paid for it. (Ultimately, of course, my opinions are just as worthless as everyone else's.) (Actually, that's not true. I tried on the false frock of humility--didn't fit.) >UP THERE, baby, UP there. So tell us, is it "heaven up there"? Nah. Hell. But my higher hell beats your lower Heaven. (Wow--on topic AND nasty--I'm on a streak, ma!) Hugs n' kisses, kiddy-katz, Chris A. Well, I wouldn't, especially if I knew about it in advance. Fuck trains anyway, I'm driving. Watch out :-) I'll give everyone fair notice as to when I'll be there and you can decide for yourself whether or not to stay off the motorways (or should that be sidewalks? :-) ) > not THINK everything I said was negative. Amy herself is the one who > says she likes to keep people guessing, so you should be used to that > stuff, Matt! Out of context. I am sometimes oblique in the same way that some lyric writers want you to "interpret" their lyrics in your own way. And sometimes I say things that I know not everyone will know, but that's going to happen on *any* mailing list. For example, I'll bet that a fair few know what I mean by "Cheshire cat" but obviously not everyone. If *anyone* ever is curious about something I've said, e-me offlist and I'll explain. Or hit the 'd' key or put me in your kill file. The one thing anyone here can assume is that I will never be mean-spirited in a snarky way -- if I have a problem with someone, I'll take it offlist first, and then if it continues, I'll be very upfront about it onlist. There is *no one here* I hate, as I have stated. What I absolutely don't want to happen is for people to leave the list -- those that have rejoined, or are new. I'd far rather someone tell me that I'm boring the shit out of them than to drive anyone away. - --Amy ====================================== http://www.bunnymenlist.com ====================================== ------------------------------ End of seven-seas-digest V2 #184 ********************************
