The sad truth is, many of our enemies have been supported by us at one point or another. Its no secret that Bin Laden was on the CIA payroll at one point. Some of the weapons that Iraq is not supposed to have, that the US and British forces are finding, are made right here in the USA. A sad tale. And quite frustrating. The world is not so black and white as politicians would have us believe. I don't know how the channels break down into interest groups, but I do notice that Eastenders is on, and a special on Robbie Williams (cough). - --Amy ====================================== http://www.bunnymenlist.com ====================================== ====================================== http://www.bunnymenlist.com ====================================== ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 9 Apr 2003 14:39:55 +0100 From: matt.harkness@bt.com Subject: RE: seven-seas OT Be Afraid................... >That show is on BBC america all the time... No, no sports.... we are fortunate to get footie on Fox Sports World but only the Premiership. No Div. One. I know, I know, how can it be the Beeb with no sports?! Americans don't go in for the usual sports in England (except, hahahahahaha, we are now taking a liking to footie). The only horse races of any consequence we watch are those of the Triple Crown -- the Kentucky Derby (not! Darby), the Preakness, and the Belmont. I will be missing the Kentucky Derby this year for the first time in twelve years. My husband's family have a big party (he's from Louisville and I WON'T be invited). My eldest told me consolingly that she'd bet on a horse *for* me, though :-) ====================================== http://www.bunnymenlist.com ====================================== ------------------------------ End of seven-seas-digest V2 #137 ********************************
