The Capsules CD from last year was pretty good. I played it a lot on the air. - ----- Original Message ----- From: "Thetian" To: Sent: Friday, March 28, 2003 10:01 PM Subject: RE: seven-seas list of influences? > Shallow ~ no longer a band. :( Julie and her husband Jason have a new > band The Capsules. > > Ryan Newton, the guitar player of Shallow NOT married to the singer, is > a huge Bunnymen fan. The record shop is brilliant, what I've always wanted to do a la 'High Fidelity'. It's actually for Oxfam (a charity, therefore voluntary work), 5th of it's kind in the country and specialises in Vinyl, CD and video. All stock is unwanted/donated but really good stuff, tons of 80's stuff. Found a numbered copy of The Beatles 'White' album worth #200 the other day. If you're anywhere near Ealing pop by say hello and grab a bargain at the same time.... Hang around, and you'll get more :-) Darn, no World Cup, no new album, a current lull in the Brit-Yank debates.... hmmmm.... anything else to get the Brits off on rants? Of course, it feels a bit mean to laugh at someone's rant even if one is only laughing because one enjoys the writing :-) Always did like KP's "Cor blimey" and Matt's various diatribes and Barry's one liners, no winkies, and Jon where the hell are you? and so on and so forth. The "How to piss proper at gigs" thread was priceless. It came in very handy at SXSW as I explained to horrified Americans that guys in England used their empties to good effect :-) Raj, did you get a job or what? No good diatribes from you lately either!!! and where did the various Peters and Martin/Martyns go and please do not feel slighted if I missed you out! - --Amy, who catches shit all the time because she lives in Texas (yeah, everything IS bigger here) and is too much of an Anglophile (literally) ====================================== http://www.bunnymenlist.com ====================================== ====================================== http://www.bunnymenlist.com ====================================== ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 29 Mar 2003 10:02:28 -0500 From: Red Subject: RE: seven-seas Re: NEWS - 26 March 2003 At 02:41 PM 3/29/03 -0000, you wrote: >If you're anywhere near Ealing pop by say hello and grab a bargain at >the same time.... That sounds cool Raj........maybe I'll pop in in May! :-) Course, I dunno why....other than to say hello.... coz you'll have snatched up all the good stuff! ;-) heehee Red ====================================== http://www.bunnymenlist.com ====================================== ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 29 Mar 2003 20:01:17 -0000 From: "Barry Whiting" Subject: Re: seven-seas Mac on BB6 Digital & webcast Additionally...
