QUICK PLEASE Is this it? I remember it.... Date: Fri, 9 Nov 2001 18:44:40 -0000 From: "Barry Whiting" Subject: seven-seas How to 'Meet the Bunnymen'... As Mark rightly said, ITV are currently running broadcast tests on Sky Digital. Those of you with Sky Digital should now be able to pick up any ITV region regardless of where you live i.e. you'll be able to watch 'Meet The Bunnymen'... ...to pick up the test transmissions, do the following 1. Select 'Services' on your Sky remote. 2. Select '4 - System Setup' 3. Select '4 - Add Channels' (I think it's number 4) 4. Enter the following information based on which ITV region you want : 10.832H: 1:1 CARLTON / LWT 1:2 CENTRAL WEST 10.832H: 1:1 CARLTON / LWT 1:2 CENTRAL WEST 1:3 HTV WALES 1:4 HTV WEST 1:5 WESTCOUNTRY SOUTH 10.891H: 2:1 ANGLIA 2:2 BORDER ENGLAND 2:3 BORDER SCOTLAND 2:4 GRANADA 2:5 MERIDIAN 2:6 TYNE TEES 2:7 YORKSHIRE 10.906V: 3:1 GRAMPIAN 3:2 SCOTTISH 3:3 ULSTER 3:4 CHANNEL The first number you need to enter via your pad is the one above the regions e.g for Granada, enter 10.891. Similarly, use the information above to enter the polarity e.g. Granada is H (horizontal) Symbol Rate (SR) is 22K Forward Error Correction (FEC) is 5/6 5. Select 'Find Channels' 6. When found, there should be an option somewhere to store them ('Yellow' button I think). You can either store them all or you choose the region(s) you're interested in e.g if you want Granada, store the channel which had a name like R? 2.4 7. Until live date, it won't appear on your normal EPG as channel 103 so to select ITV1 : - Choose 'Services' - Choose 'Other Channels' - Select what you found before - it won't be called ITV but something like R13 3.2 Long winded but a chance to watch ITV in all it's digital glory. Disclaimer : Do the above at your own risk. (Other info : I think only channels 3:2 and 3:3 have widescreen switching enabled at the minute) If your outside the UK but have access to the Astra satellite(s), I think the above instructions can also be used...but I'm not sure. Hope that helps some of you....you aint seen me, right ? - - - Barry. - - -- Barry Whiting barry@urquell.freeserve.co.uk ====================================== http://www.bunnymenlist.com ====================================== ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 28 Mar 2003 17:14:21 -0600 (CST) From: amyr@jump.net (Amy Moseley Rupp) Subject: Re: seven-seas OT sigur ros post/philly > >i thought it made philly sound a pretty scary place ....... > > > >but its an interesting post ..... > > I thought about it....but figured I'd bore everyone since it > was so off topic!!! :-( Philly *is* a scary place!
