Too true. I was just wondering who the press or the masses would name, because I'm so hopelessly behind :-) ====================================== http://www.bunnymenlist.com ====================================== ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 17 Mar 2003 21:24:02 -0800 (PST) From: Andrew Ironside Subject: Re: seven-seas New Music - Sheila Divine I heard some MP3's of Sheila Divine, wasn't that impressed, a bit like the Sound, but not as good, the best stuff I've heard in a while is the Stills, www.thestills.net, no album yet, just mp3's on the site. - --- Henry Biedenkapp wrote: > I haven't listened to much new music since the > Nirvana and NIN explosion, > but I've recently discovered Sheila Divine's - > "Secret Society" which is > totally awesome -- going back to the moody 80's > atmosphere. I wanted to comment on The Sheila Divine since I am from Boston as well. They are really so much better now than ever before, they have changed so well. I have seen Aaron Perrino perform solo acoustic many times now also. I would have to say i'm not fond of anything they have done previous to this album. If you get the chance see them live you must go, AND I really mean that, even the new disc is bitterly disappointing if you run out to get it after seeing either The Sheila Divine or Aaron play live. Also they usually cover "The Killing Moon" in their set, in case ya didn't know. HEY! I like Doves a bit better, but never will hear them on a radio, just hope Chris Martin keeps hanging with Mac and doesn't go to the Darkside, Bono, your not my father! - --- Red wrote: > At 11:02 AM 3/17/03 +0000, you wrote: > > >am i the only person in the world who thinks > coldplay > >are shite?! > > I like 'Yellow' and maybe a song or two on > their first CD....but I haven't even played > it in ages, and frankly, can't remember what > the rest of the songs even sound like.
