His cover was "Waiting for the man" and was a pretty faithful version and nice to hear. Pity the mostly student crowd seemed not to have heard of a) Mac, b) the Bunnymen, or c) the Velvets - kids today!!! Then he did a quick interview with dopey Dermot the host, where he ran rings around him as Mac does. Dermot also seemed to want to stoke up the U2 rivalry thing and there were a few choice quotes from Mac which i doubt will get shown. Then Mac played the new single which went over OK, tho' I think doing a slower song on that show can suffer a little in terms of audience reaction. All in all, a good performance, i guess it'll air in the UK on BBC 3 sometime in mid april to coincide with the single release paul _________________________________________________________________ Chat online in real time with MSN Messenger http://messenger.msn.co.uk ====================================== http://www.bunnymenlist.com ====================================== ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 10 Mar 2003 09:04:29 -0500 From: Red Subject: Re: seven-seas Re:covered At 01:49 PM 3/10/03 +0000, you wrote: >Pity the mostly student crowd seemed not to have heard of a) >Mac, b) the Bunnymen, or c) the Velvets - kids today!!!
