As I've said, I'd like Muse... We're trying to hit Austin, Houston, and Dallas on our tour next month (we'll see what pans out...) and we SOUND like an English or Scottish band, at least *shrug*. It'll have to do. Didn't Morrissey just play two nights in a row at some dive in El Paso (and played the exact same set both times)? I know *I* have never had a desire to go there. And I even have relatives there. Just doesn't interest me at all. Sorry!! That's just a personal opinion...which I'm entitled to....BUT.... the fact that *so many* bands skip Texas must mean they have good reason to. Maybe it's just not economical. Most bands go from Chicago straight to the west cost. Stopping in Texas midway would more than likely require 2 extra flights. A considerable cost for an entire band! Obviously the only bands that stop in Texas are the ones that are doing extensive US tours where they'll be passing thru there by bus. This country is at least 10 times bigger than the UK and far more expensive to travel across. And the Bunnymen, and most new UK bands, just don't have that kind of money! ~Red =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= New Choices! *seven-seas or seven-seas-moderated Questions? mailto:owner-seven-seas@smoe.org =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 6 Sep 2002 09:11:28 -0400 From: "Chris Adams" Subject: Re: seven-seas Liverpool: Wondrous Place Hi: If anyone from the UK could find the time/inclination to pick up this book for me (it's not available yet in the states) I'll trade a copy of "Turquoise Days" for it.
