This is one of the threads that has been kicked around bunnymen.com recently... remastering the first four Bunnymen albums. Apparently, some see this as some sort of bad decision or attempt to make more money (and this is Inherently Bad for such a cool band as our Bunnymen). I for one would be *ecstatic* to have the albums remastered... I've heard other remastered albums by other bands and the improvement in using digital vs. analog mastering can be breathtaking -- a subtle inflection of the voice, an instrumental part you never knew was there... can jump out at you -- and the mastering process itself has improved greatly in the last few years. I'd be the first in the queue to buy my personal favourite, _Ocean Rain_. (and I would end up with the others too, of course!) What do you guys think? If I'm off on the anti-remastering reasons, please jump in -- but don't kill the messenger, please! - --Amy =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= New Choices! *seven-seas or seven-seas-moderated Questions? mailto:owner-seven-seas@smoe.org =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= ------------------------------ End of seven-seas-digest V1 #125 ********************************
