Still, at least blank discs are only 12 pence, so I ain't wasted anything other than the hour or so I spent downloading, converting and burning. To put this in perspective, what I recommended to the American guy was: Electric Soft Parade, Cooper Temple Clause, Minuteman, Biffy Clyro and Doves. Now, if you haven't heard those, go away and listen, then compare them to Pete Yawn and maybe then you'll understand where I'm coming from. Actually, listing them again now, it occurs to me what stupid band names there are around these days!! Having said that, when listing fave bands to people who've never heard of them, the one that gets the biggest laugh is..... Echo & The Bunnymen!! There......I brought this back round to on-topic! ====================================== http://www.bunnymenlist.com ====================================== ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 23 Nov 2002 11:39:09 -0000 From: matt.harkness@bt.com Subject: RE: seven-seas savaging >PS: Sorry if this post is nothing to do with silver miners in Puerto Rico or >refuge compounds next to Mount Etna or whatever the fuck is being talked >about at the moment. Somewhere in Chicago there's a guy complaining to his friends about a mad Englishman who seemed nice enough but completely wasted his time AND money because he went out and bought CDs by the Electric Rot Parade, Cooper Temple Blahs, Shitcan, Iffy Clyro and Dives. ;-) ;-) ;-) ====================================== http://www.bunnymenlist.com ====================================== ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 23 Nov 2002 10:06:23 -0600 (CST) From: amyr@jump.net (Amy Moseley Rupp) Subject: Re: seven-seas OT A cautionary tale > How about the cowpunk of Lone Justice?
