Yes. It's off South Congress. The Austin Opry House was originally opened in 1977 by and owned by Willie Nelson (he did a week of shows to open the venue), but later sold to a group of investors around '81 or '82. They had a very nice of shows in 83/84 with Echo & The Bunnymen, Siouxsie & The Banshees, Big Country (actually this was probably 82) and The Cure. BTW, if that's the same Siouxsie show I was at there, it was great. If memory serves me correctly My Life with the Thrill Kill Cult opened. If > memory serves me correctly My Life with the Thrill Kill Cult opened. I don't remember if anyone opened and if so whom! That was my first non-arena 'alternative' concert! I was with a bunch of my giggly college roommates whom I had convinced to come back up to Austin (I think the show was in July, around my birthday, the 12th, 1986) from our hometowns. I was the only one into alternative, having gotten into Echo in March of that year. I can remember with whom we spent the night!
