How about that asshole who did "Achy Breaky Heart"? ;-) Nearly choked on me Cornflakes this morning....read a review of the Pete Yawn album on Amazon.....at one point it compared him to Joy Division. Only the second time I've been (honest) and even though the main room was pumping a bit I discovered, in my heightened state of awareness, another room tucked out the back where as i walked in, shania was emanating from the speakers, can't remember the other stuff but generally more radio 2 friendly. An 'interesting' night. >Sounds like a top club, Pete. Chicago Rock? Best thing about that place is >that you have to be over 25 to get in, and most of the clientel are twice >that, so I feel young! Aaaagh!!! They'll never take me alive!!! I'm ENGLISH!!! LOL..... I was all of eighteen when I got my revelation..... My mum had the grace to reveal to me, while driving a carload of my friends, that I was conceived here in Austin...... which is kinda cool now that I know it. Only she pointed out the specific motel, which is now a no-tell mo-tel, complete with streetwalkers at high noon. I willed myself to disappear into the naugahyde right then and there..... I vaguely remember one of my more polite friends giving a sort of choked and nauseous giggle..... You know, salmon swimming upstream and all that.... fancy retiring in North Wales? LOL.... - --Amy ====================================== http://www.bunnymenlist.com ====================================== ------------------------------ End of seven-seas-digest V1 #43 *******************************
