I followed the link to be met by a raunchy piccy of Danni on her back in wet see through shirt, and a little button marked 'enter'. On pressing it, I was very dissappointed merely to gain access to her site! Kylie still has my heart! Cheers Martini PS Universal Truths: You never know where to look when eating an apple. The Top 100 are singles -- you know, those radio-friendly three and four minute max soundbites. Matt, how many weeks was it Brit-less? cos it certainly isn't now. It is, thankfully, Brit*ney*-less. However, I'm ashamed that I don't know shit about most of the artists including whether they are Brit, American, or other; except Avril and Shania (shiver) who's crept in at number 34, and who are of course Canadjun. However, No Doubt's in at number three so it ain't Britless. Ya know, Gwen Stefani's wedding got more coverage than No Doubt ever has. Maybe that ought to be a clue.... we love British weddings. So far every chart I've checked has British artists. Wow, Our Lady Peace is on the Adult Top 40 chart? Course, I'm wondering when the *British* charts haven't had an American act on them. Hmmmmm...... EVER? Certainly not since Presley, I'd guess ;-) Speaking of him, HE'S on the album charts; and the highest ranking Brit acts are Elton John, Rolling Stones, U2 (what year are we in anyway)? with Coldplay down at 72. Read it and weep: http://www.billboard.com/billboard/charts/bb200.jsp Oh yeah, Phil Collins, Rod Stewart....I'm feeling positively young again! Does anyone have a link to British charts? Yeah, yeah I could go look for some but.... ====================================== http://www.bunnymenlist.com ====================================== ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 21 Nov 2002 13:38:18 -0600 (CST) From: amyr@jump.net (Amy Moseley Rupp) Subject: Re: seven-seas OT: QOTSA on TOTP > Must admit I'm more a Kylie fan, she certainly packs a lotta punch for a > little lass. What is it with Kylie? All she ever was here was Ms. "Do The Locomotion" but *there* she seems to have every boy (and therefore man) salivating over her! Maybe it *is* the 'little' lass part.... Fields Churchill was credited with some good drinking quotes, too.... I believe it was him who, when told by a woman that he was drunk, replied that in the morning he would be sober. She, however, would still be ugly. Another woman (I think it may have been Lady Astor) told him that if he were her husband, she'd poison his tea. He replied that if she were his wife, he'd drink it. ====================================== http://www.bunnymenlist.com ====================================== ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 21 Nov 2002 16:18:11 -0600 (CST) From: amyr@jump.net (Amy Moseley Rupp) Subject: Re: seven-seas OT: QOTSA on TOTP > I believe it was him who, when told by a woman that he was drunk, replied > that in the morning he would be sober. She, however, would still be ugly. As would he! Though I rather like his leadership habits -- naps, then up late at night; running the country from the bath tub.... now that I could handle! Before I ever really knew anyone on seven-seas the most I'd learnt was from reading Winston Churchill, _Harry Potter_, the NME, and a few other odds and ends. Believe me, it made for a quirky country, though the reality is actually quirkier! And that plonker from Chicago (sighs, rolls eyes). Yet another American to have to live down..... shoulda given *him* some poisoned tea! - --Amy ====================================== http://www.bunnymenlist.com ====================================== ------------------------------ End of seven-seas-digest V1 #38 *******************************
