Better to invest in a videocard with TV-out and connect your PC to your TV. Better still to just buy the PAL dvd and play it on a cheapo DVD player. I waited patiently for 2 hours whilst my broadband connection downloaded FIFA Football 2003 from Kazaa, only to find that it was actually one of those stupid Sims games (I think I'd've preferred the scandinavian woman). Also, I thought I had downloaded the gold pass to upgrade RealOne player, but when I launched it, I watched in horror as an Explorer window opened up, showing the contents of my c:\Windows directory rapidly being deleted, followed by my screen going completely blank. Fortunately, after a few seconds a message appeared saying "Aren't you glad this is only a game", followed by a warning about computer viruses and the need to be careful what you download..... Mind you, I DID manage to download the upgraded version of MusicMatch jukebox, which now rips CDs to mp3 at 30+ times instead of the 3-4 times I was getting before..... ====================================== http://www.bunnymenlist.com ====================================== ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 13 Nov 2002 05:32:35 -0600 (CST) From: amyr@jump.net (Amy Moseley Rupp) Subject: Re: seven-seas kazaa and svcd files, etc. > some scandinavian woman on a high protein diet, if you > know what i mean! Ya gets what ya pays for ;-) I'll have a looksee for a cheap ?! regionless player and PAL-NTSC VHS player. My dad asked me just yesterday what I wanted for Christmas ;-) he wants to get me a purse from a famous ranch ;-) Since I am a geek girl I would rather have electronics! ====================================== http://www.bunnymenlist.com ====================================== ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 13 Nov 2002 08:58:11 -0500 From: "Zap" Subject: RE: seven-seas Re: your mail I thought I read somewhere that it was originally "jimbo" and That mac was doing a mini doors tribute during a band jam, and It mutated into "all my colours" (zimbo) I could be wrong, but I vaguely recall something to that effect. - -----Original Message----- From: owner-seven-seas@smoe.org [mailto:owner-seven-seas@smoe.org] On Behalf Of Barry Whiting Sent: Wednesday, November 13, 2002 4:47 AM To: seven-seas@smoe.org Subject: Re: seven-seas Re: your mail - ----- Original Message ----- From: "Andrew Ironside" > Just thought of something, what does Zimbo mean > anyway?
