'er.. um... actually got like five or six copies on cd from japanese to british to american.. not to mention all the other formats. I know it's not your typical bunnyfans fav but I absolutely -love- it! [ducks] and Ian's "candleland" seems a perfect follow up... but maybe that's just me. fwiw I do love ALL the other albums as well... (I've a gazillion copies of "evergreen" too!) kinda like the cure. there are no "bad" albums... they're just ~different~ ...and only vary in greatness! :) ====================================== The Official Seven-Seas Web Page. www.bunnymenlist.com ====================================== ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 16 Feb 2004 12:11:08 -0500 From: "Sheldon Cooper" Subject: seven-seas-moderated Gray album & Candleland At last someone who sees this too. Like how Bryan Ferry's Boys & Girls could be Avalon 2 (Roxy Music) & Arcadia's So Red The Rose is the logical extention to Duran's Seven & The Ragged Tiger. And even tho most here regard Gray as a "sellout" as I said last century it's a great pop album & as musicians have to eat too..... Plus the great video for The Game (as we called the lp back in South Africa in the 80s) with ver Bunnies "goofing" in Rio was really cool. But far be it from me to tell someone they should NOT be a "pub band" or "cult fav" if that's what they want to be. Just somehow think I'd rather be having whole lobster stuffed with crab meat than fish cakes for supper myself.... Peace to all. If you're only on dial-up it'll probably take a while, but it's worth it.... puts the LIPA DVD to shame..... Even at that show they followed it with Zimbo which was a real letdown as the had the crowd buzzing and that lost em. Coulda been Mega like old times!!!! Yeah- I'll fly tonight and Zimbo make more sense than all that jazz eh?? It's amazing that incredibly talented artists (and make no mistake the Bunnies have been my favorite band since the 1st LP) make such bonehead decisions sometimes. oh well, still loads better than the rest!!
