Tue Aug 19, 4:36 PM ET Add Entertainment - Reuters to My Yahoo! By Troy Carpenter NEW YORK (Billboard) - The Cure, Duran Duran, Violent Femmes, Echo & the Bunnymen and the Psychedelic Furs will headline the third annual Inland Invasion concert set for Sept. 20 east of Los Angeles. While last year's concert was defiantly punk-themed, with bands like the Sex Pistols, the Buzzcocks, X and the Circle Jerks on the bill, this year's event will be a largely '80s affair, spiced with a smattering of current acts. Also on tap for Inland Invasion III, which will take place at the Glen Helen Hyundai Pavilion in Devore, Calif., are Hot Hot Heat, Dashboard Confessional, Bow Wow Wow, Interpol, General Public, Fountains Of Wayne, Soft Cell, Berlin and Dramarama. Tickets go on sale Saturday (Aug. 23) at 10 a.m. PDT, with many to be given away by organizer KROQ-FM throughout the next month. - ------------------------------------------------- This mail sent through IMP: http://horde.org/imp/ ====================================== The Official Seven-Seas Web Page. www.bunnymenlist.com ====================================== ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 22 Aug 2003 18:50:14 +0100 (BST) From: =?iso-8859-1?q?Stu=20Bird?= Subject: seven-seas-moderated Glide to support British Sea Power on selected dates.. maybe This just in from BSP............ "We will leave you with news of one further alliance with BSP. On the forthcoming October tour of Scotland, England and Ireland, it seems that Echo & The Bunnymen's Will Sergeant should be bringing his experimental solo performance to the concerts in Sheffield, Liverpool and Leeds. This is still subject to formal confirmation. There will also be support, at all dates, from the gifted Brighton group The Tenderfoot and a special guest at the London show. Let's hope the power stays on." Bloody typical that I have Bristol tickets.. I'll just have to drive past the place where the cover for Grind was shot with Performance on the car stereo before the gig !! As you may recall, he'd produced a track or two for their new album. His track(s) will likely appear as b-sides, as they didn't make the cut. Anyhow, sounds like those three dates , early in October, are the only ones he's doing. with the Bunnymen US tour happening later that month... By the way, in addition to neglecting work on the Bunnymen site, I'm also neglecting the completion of Will's new Glide site, which I should've finished in May. Take a peek at it here: http://www.glide-sonic.com . Will's got new Glide t-shirts coming, too... I hopefully will have that all coming along soon What is it with Bunnymen webmasters getting buried in other less-important, yet bill-paying endeavors, anyhow? - -I - ----- Original Message ----- From: "Stu Bird" To: Sent: Friday, August 22, 2003 11:19 AM Subject: Re: seven-seas Glide to support British Sea Power on selected dates.. maybe > http://www.britishseapower.co.uk/concerts.htm > > I can't find a Leeds date in Oct funnily enough.. maybe they're gonna > add some more in.. > > Cheers, > > Stu > > > Red wrote: > Do you have dates for that Stu?? > > Just wondering when it is, coz I know someone going over! > > Red > > > > ====================================== > http://www.bunnymenlist.com > > ====================================== > > > > --------------------------------- > Want to chat instantly with your online friends?
