Yeah, you're right - I can see the train working fine, I was thinking more of driving being an imposibility.... I had a peak at flights and wasn't too impressed with prices (nor are there many options London -> Liverpool) but Virgin Trains does good fares if booked well in advance, so that seems most feesable. It's my honey's b-day weekend and I'm being a bit selfish dragging him to 'pool for this, but... oh well. :) Anyone know of any nice yet reasonable hotels/B&Bs that I might book to make it up to him?
