No the world doesn't revolve around London, but it's always a key gig on UK tours. That said, this is an anniversary gig and not a promotional mini tour and Liverpool deserves the Sat. Shepherds Bush is a good venue too and only a 15 min bus ride from my place so can't complain too much. The thing with some Sunday shows, is that they finish earlier due to licensing hours and some can't be as loud as they can on Sat (incl Brixton) due to residential restrictions. I went to see Motorhead on their 25th anniversary gig on a Sun and it was crap, you could hear the crowd above the band. - -----Original Message----- From: owner-seven-seas@smoe.org [mailto:owner-seven-seas@smoe.org] On Behalf Of Ivan Smith Sent: 05 June 2003 01:11 To: seven-seas@smoe.org Subject: Re: seven-seas Anniversary tour dates... the world does not revolve around London ;-) you wouldn't believe the number of "why [city] on sunday...monday...tuesday...?" e-mails I get every time I post tourdates...it's just not realistic to do every gig everywhere on a friday or saturday... the bunnymen & mac sell out EVERY gig they play in Glasgow - Glasgow earned a Friday gig... curious - how long's it been since they did the same in london? Not over sure about the recent couple of tours in London cus I wasn't at them, but the Brixton academy shows a few years ago were awesome. I also agree with what Ivan said about Glasgow.. They always sell out, and it's the same for a lot of acts ( McNabb also sold out there quickly ). Want to do Liverpool really, but cashflow may force London on me.. Decisions, decisions.......
