I saw The Smiths with a very young James supporting, and they were really good. They played Bristol Hippodrome which is a very grandiose venue usually reserved for orchestras, pantos etc, but the sound was excellent I must say.. Stu looloo wrote: The Smiths were the worst live sounding bands in 25 years of concert going, but I must admit the audience was having one of the best times. Everybody was litterally dancing (not just standing) on their chairs or dancing in the aisles. ............ i saw the Smiths once - they were doing a freebie for the GLC - & it was a lovely sunny Bank Holiday ( we do get sunny ones sometimes) & it was in the car park of the old County hall... It was fantastic & the atmosphere was just "happy" - people were clibing all over the building & dancing on window ledges & stuff. those were the days ;-) looloo ====================================== http://www.bunnymenlist.com ====================================== - --------------------------------- Yahoo! I would see them if they played local, any time.. Very few of the bands I follow have people who can actually "sing" ( you know the exceptions ), and place of origin is the last thing I worry about.. I'm also up for seeing the Afro Celt Soundsystem down in Glasto too which should be a blast. Talking of acid.. I see Copey is also playing on the Friday.. same as EATB, but I think his set clashes with REM and Primal Scream... Stu ..
