The music is fucking awesome........on the whole album............ I never said it wasn't a good album -- just that I preferred the Grey Album - -- and I mentioned that a lot of it had to do with timing in my life. ====================================== The Official Seven-Seas Web Page. www.bunnymenlist.com ====================================== ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 2 Jun 2003 09:07:29 +0100 From: matt.harkness@bt.com Subject: seven-seas-moderated RE: seven-seas Ramblings >Okay, which songs on _Reverberation_ do it for you? Lost And Found, All My Life, Lips and New Direction are most certainly not on Reverberation, and yet the above paragraph definitely suggests that the author thinks they are..... Personally speaking, I do like Reverberation. We've covered the subject time and time again, but I'll say it again - if only they'd released it under another band name it would probably have received critical acclaim instead of the slating it got. I have heard it said, though I don't know if it's true, that, after Mac left, the band were still contractually obliged to the label to release one more album under the "Echo & the Bunnymen" brand name. I can think of no other reason for them using the other than it was purely a "Fuck you, Mac" statement. Comparatively speaking, the eponymous grey album was shite, though it still knocked spots off of just about anything else that was around at the time.... Matt, cheap bastard. ====================================== The Official Seven-Seas Web Page. www.bunnymenlist.com ====================================== ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 2 Jun 2003 13:57:52 +0100 From: matt.harkness@bt.com Subject: seven-seas-moderated RE: seven-seas Ramblings >Would that Morrissey and Marr could >do the same thing, because you need both of them to make >that special music.... I disagree. Whilst there is no doubting that their pairing in the Smiths was a magical one, Morrissey has also created some pretty damn special music as a solo artist. Though yes, it would be nice to see them back together. >What I write is meant to provoke thought and not anger, No, no.... what *you* wrote did not provoke anger..... ====================================== The Official Seven-Seas Web Page. www.bunnymenlist.com ====================================== ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 02 Jun 2003 09:04:40 -0400 From: Rob Maher Subject: seven-seas-moderated Re: seven-seas Ramblings >> Oh.....and about Reverberation..... >> while I like them all.....anything from >> Thick Skinned World to the end does it for me!! >> The music is fucking awesome........on the whole album............ I must say that the music especially is great on that one. I don't really think of it as an EATB album though, so I don't compare it to the other albums. For me, it has its own separate identity. I think some of it has to do with what I was going through in my life when it came out.
