In less than a week's time, you sent in nearly 1000 questions, which Mac pored over and whittled down to his thirty favourites, which he answered in true Mac style... Head on over to ianmcculloch.com, and you can hear those answers... just click on the link from the start page (you must have the flash browser plug-in) enjoy! - -I ====================================== The Official Seven-Seas Web Page. www.bunnymenlist.com ====================================== ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 1 May 2003 15:15:25 +0100 From: "Martyn White" Subject: seven-seas-moderated RE: seven-seas Re:Covered Thank God someone taped it for you 'cos forgot to even watch it, again!!!!!!! - -----Original Message----- From: owner-seven-seas@smoe.org [mailto:owner-seven-seas@smoe.org]On Behalf Of looloo@lmizzi.freeserve.co.uk Sent: 01 May 2003 12:22 To: seven-seas@smoe.org Subject: seven-seas Re:Covered Finally got to see some of it ...... a friend taped it off BBC3 for me .. & so i've seen it during my teabreak they wouldn't let me watch mac doing the songs we had to go straight to the bad interview bit so we could watch ME!!! hahahhahah they think i'm famous ! hopefully be able to watch it properly tonight looloo looloo __________________________________________________________________________ Join Freeserve http://www.freeserve.com/time/ Winner of the 2003 Internet Service Providers' Association awards for Best Unmetered ISP and Best Consumer Application. ====================================== http://www.bunnymenlist.com ====================================== ====================================== The Official Seven-Seas Web Page. www.bunnymenlist.com ====================================== ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 1 May 2003 17:04:57 +0100 From: "Noose Boy" Subject: seven-seas-moderated As it's the (London) Mac gig next week I've mentioned this gig on the list a few times. It was in 1986 and was called 'The Anniversary of the Tenth Summer' to celebrate 10 years since punk. It was at the GMEX (Manchester) and had loads of bands including The Fall, The Smiths, OMD, Pete Shelley and more. New Order headlined and Mac came on and sang Ceremony, follow the link if you fancy listening to it. http://www.patelr.f2s.com/NewOrder.htm Cheers Raj ====================================== The Official Seven-Seas Web Page. www.bunnymenlist.com ====================================== ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 1 May 2003 22:06:30 +0100 From: "stevie g" Subject: seven-seas-moderated avalanche re-release anyone seen a copy yet? ivan advised me after i ordered one it could be 4 to 10 weeks delay after ordering. stevie g. ====================================== The Official Seven-Seas Web Page. www.bunnymenlist.com ====================================== ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 1 May 2003 22:15:08 +0100 From: "stevie g" Subject: seven-seas-moderated re:- ''Mac came on and sang Ceremony'' ..and he went onstage at the hacienda around the same time and did ceremony. it was live on ''the tube'' tv show. i seem to recall mac having a sheet of paper with the lyrics wriiten on! stevie g. ====================================== The Official Seven-Seas Web Page. www.bunnymenlist.com ====================================== ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 1 May 2003 16:49:49 -0500 (CDT) From: amyr@jump.net (Amy Moseley Rupp) Subject: seven-seas-moderated Slideling I've been a big critic of Mac's voice over the last couple of years, so I feel doubly compelled to write and say that I absolutely love _Slideling_. It doesn't try to recreate the past; it doesn't try to emulate the sound-of-the-moment; it's singularly Ian's, and it speaks poignantly to where I am in my life today -- what my hopes and fears and memories are, all swathed in the best voice in the world. - --Amy "If who we are Is who we love" ....then no wonder I'm confused! :-) ====================================== The Official Seven-Seas Web Page. www.bunnymenlist.com ====================================== ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 1 May 2003 18:11:02 -0400 From: "tony schinella" Subject: seven-seas-moderated Re: seven-seas Slideling I played "Sliding" on my show today and it sounded good to me. As well, Mac also did a station ID for our station which the label sent to us which was pretty cool too. - ----- Original Message ----- From: "Amy Moseley Rupp" To: Sent: Thursday, May 01, 2003 5:49 PM Subject: seven-seas Slideling > I've been a big critic of Mac's voice over the last couple of years, > so I feel doubly compelled to write and say that I absolutely love > _Slideling_.
