Mac I swear I have the worst karma ever when it comes to gigs. I always miss good bands by mere days when I'm in the UK or else bands like Haven finally play stateside while I'm over there. And now the great ones have started playing on the same night. The irony is there really aren't that many bands I'm absolutely dying to see these days and yet lately the few I DO want to see inevitably play on the same night.... The Music just announced a show at the best club in San Francisco on the SAME DAMN NIGHT as Mac. Obviously I'm going to see Mac, but I may buy a ticket for the Music just in case he wraps it up early. Sorry, just had to vent. Cheers, Anne __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? When bands play here, it is inevitably a night I have the kids -- with me having them eight nights of each fourteen, there is a reasonable statistical chance that a band would play on a night I don't have custody, but it hasn't happened yet. I don't dare leave them with a babysitter to go to a gig, because I'd catch more hell than any gig would be worth; and besides, I want to *be* with them more than any band. When Sigur Ros came about a month ago, I wanted to go BADLY, but I just couldn't. I made the huge mistake of telling my 10.5 year old in a joking manner that I had Bad Gig Karma, and she burst into tears and said I was always blaming her for not being able to do stuff. I quickly told her I would much rather be with her, but my suspicions were confirmed. I've given up on any attempt to synchronise a trip to England with a gig, a sporting event, hell any given year ;-) I figure when I get there, there will be land. Oh, and some English people. ;-) Hopefully ;-) - --Amy vent >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> ====================================== The Official Seven-Seas Web Page. www.bunnymenlist.com ====================================== ------------------------------ End of seven-seas-moderated-digest V2 #128 ******************************************
