Just to add my tuppence worth.... You should try and watch this on DVD if you can....the deleted scenes add a whole lot more to the film - it's a shame the studio forced the cuts ....and you can read bits of the old woman's time-travel book which clear things up/muddy the water. I do think Killing Moon is out of place though. - ----- Original Message ----- From: "stevie g" > apparently the original choice was inxs for the intro track [''never > tear us > apart'' i think] but inxs record company wanted too much moolah for > the use > of it. > > film's better without it anyway! > > stevie g. > > > > ====================================== > http://www.bunnymenlist.com > > ====================================== ====================================== The Official Seven-Seas Web Page. www.bunnymenlist.com ====================================== ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 13 Mar 2003 14:59:01 -0600 (CST) From: amyr@jump.net (Amy Moseley Rupp) Subject: seven-seas-moderated completely OT I have forgotten who Celtic are, other than Mac did something with/for them, and I know they are on telly right now playing L'pool. Loads of UK bands here enjoying sunny 75 F weather! My. Gosh. All y'all need to come next year -- it is absolutely fantastic. There are people from all over the world here and 1100 bands in 52 venues in four nights all within walking distance. I saw three fantastic acts and met many interesting people -- I even have a bit of a 'date' :-) tomorrow night to see British Sea Power! The folks from the UK say that Austin is nicer than London! (okay, debate there) but that the people here are friendly and the festival wonderful. Tomorrow and Saturday nights will be the biggest -- Supergrass are playing Saturday night and *everyone*, it seems, wants to go that show, which is at a fairly small venue. I'll have to get there early to get in! - --Amy ====================================== The Official Seven-Seas Web Page. www.bunnymenlist.com ====================================== ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 14 Mar 2003 06:33:48 -0500 From: Red Subject: seven-seas-moderated Re: seven-seas SXSW night one At 05:20 AM 3/14/03 -0600, you wrote: >Of course, I've never been to London and you've never been >to Austin so maybe we should trade? :-) :-) :-) No thanks!!! But as I said over on VT... and as for a huge musical street festival.... those are friendly no matter WHERE....it's not the city that matters at those things anyway...it's the music and the social gathering!! :P ====================================== The Official Seven-Seas Web Page. www.bunnymenlist.com ====================================== ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 14 Mar 2003 05:13:14 -0600 (CST) From: amyr@jump.net (Amy Moseley Rupp) Subject: seven-seas-moderated Re: seven-seas SXSW night one > I love London far better than NYC!!! > The people are much friendlier!! > Been to both places many times! Grass. Greener. :-) No bloody grass over this! :-) All three cities (London, NYC and Austin) are different, but SXSW is fun because it's one big street full of clubs with bands changing every hour and a chance to meet loads of music fans and musicians from all over the world. No pretense -- everyone is equal. ====================================== The Official Seven-Seas Web Page. www.bunnymenlist.com ====================================== ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 14 Mar 2003 05:28:34 -0600 (CST) From: amyr@jump.net (Amy Moseley Rupp) Subject: seven-seas-moderated Re: seven-seas SXSW night one > that matters at those things anyway...it's the music > and the social gathering!! :P True.... I was glad the police were being cool. But also the crowd was very well-behaved.... only saw one green-haired person being attended to by the medics/ambulance about 2 am.... don't know why or how he got sick. I'm just so glad we have SXSW after *months* of wanting to see some good English and European bands perform live!!! ====================================== The Official Seven-Seas Web Page. www.bunnymenlist.com ====================================== ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 14 Mar 2003 11:49:17 -0000 From: "Steve Hodson" Subject: seven-seas-moderated RE: seven-seas SXSW night one > -----Original Message----- > From: owner-seven-seas@smoe.org [mailto:owner-seven-seas@smoe.org]On > Behalf Of Red > Sent: 14 March 2003 11:16 > To: seven-seas@smoe.org > Subject: RE: seven-seas SXSW night one > > > At 11:00 AM 3/14/03 -0000, you wrote: > >London is a bloody awful place, give me New York anytime. > > I love London far better than NYC!!! > The people are much friendlier!! > Been to both places many times! I lived in London for six years and grew to hate the place in the end. I do my very best to avoid going there now, paticularly as if we're going to London it probably means a visit to my mother in law, something best avoided. ====================================== The Official Seven-Seas Web Page. www.bunnymenlist.com ====================================== ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 14 Mar 2003 11:24:51 -0800 From: Charles Pham Subject: seven-seas-moderated OT: Stooges & The Hives http://www.filter-mag.com/news/interior.362.html Iggy Pop and the Stooges Reunite at Coachella - Hives Make US Debut 03.14.2003 History will be made at the festival--which takes place the weekend of April 26-27 in Indio, CA--when Iggy Pop reunites with his seminal band the Stooges. For the first time in 28 years, Iggy (who performed at Coachella in 2001) will take the main stage April 27 with original Stooges, Ron Asheton (guitar) and Scott Asheton (drums). Special guest Mike Watt will fill in on bass for David Alexander, who passed away in 1975. This performance by Iggy and the Stooges comes amid anticipation of four newly recorded songs by the group which will appear on the upcoming Iggy Pop CD to be released by Virgin Records this summer. The CD will also feature tracks by Iggy solo, his band The Trolls and San Francisco's Green Day. In other news...The Hives--whom were influenced by the raw power of Iggy and the Stooges--will make their Coachella debut April 26, marking the band's only 2003 appearance in the U.S. Charles Pham Web Producer charlesp@eonline.com 323.692.4676 p 323.273.1550 c 323.692.6565 f E!
