I know lots of you are anticipating Ian's solo gigs, but has there been anything released yet this year worth mentioning? I ask because I have the flu and was watching television in a stupor and decided to watch TOTP so as to not exercise my non-functioning grey matter. Even with near zero visibility through the mental fog I was still shocked to see that "The Cheeky Song (Touch My Bum)" was *number two* on the charts. Content-free, that one. Well, the song, not the singers. Or does everyone still have a post-New Year's Eve hangover there? - --Amy, thinking of the parody possibilities: "Touch My Mum" or "Touch A Bum" or ..... time for more Vicodin.... ====================================== The Official Seven-Seas Web Page. www.bunnymenlist.com ====================================== ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 16 Jan 2003 11:27:54 -0600 (CST) From: amyr@jump.net (Amy Moseley Rupp) Subject: seven-seas-moderated Re: seven-seas what's up over there musically??!?? > I read in the NME that Courtney Love called Vicodin > the new LSD, the leadsinger drug, heard of that? It's a good pun, LeadSinger Drug.... It's the only thing that's ever tempted me with addiction, because not only does it take your pain away, it's slightly euphoric. But the reason I'm taking it now is that it also is the best cough suppressant known. - --Amy, not a hophead! ====================================== The Official Seven-Seas Web Page. www.bunnymenlist.com ====================================== ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 16 Jan 2003 09:24:38 -0800 (PST) From: Andrew Ironside Subject: seven-seas-moderated Re: seven-seas what's up over there musically??!?? It's in Real Audio format. Anyone know how to convert it to MPEG, so that I can burn to CDR for the kids? There's a Winamp encoder that will encode into .wav (which is what you need for the CD anyway -- any burning program would take .mp3 and encode into .wav as well). Download Winamp, and then the plugin -- it 'plays' the Real song and writes the output to your hard drive instead of the speakers. I am a bit surprised your writer did not send you .wav format unless it was a space/size issue since .wav is not as lossy as .ra.
