From a personal view, he was the greatest inspirational frontman, last year in concert he was giving the bouncers shit for pushing us fans around, I'll never forget this defiant warrior. Signing autographs in the cold when he could be all warm in the venue, a legend going out of his way. I liked the Clash a lot, his death made me reall= y sad. I didn=B4t cry or stuff, but I can=B4t predict my reaction when one = of my very favourite artists, such as Robert Smith, Ian McCulloch, David Bowie = or Jarvis Cocker dies. Although I don=B4t exactly know anyone of them, their words and music had been with me though my most difficult times, so it=B4= s like I know the person, you know? As for Tommy Stinson, I hope he lives a long and fulfilling life. The Mats are very high on my favourite groups, Let it be was the album that made me want to be a musician. London Calling as well. i know he meant different things to people, to some he is just a dead pop star, but to me and many others, he was a teacher, a fighter, also intelligent enough to admit his faults. I am just grateful that he died during a creative rebirth and not in obscurity, and that people who loved him and the Clash got to see him one last time.
