Though Will's not had any sort of falling-out with Ochre, management are going to shop the completed album around to larger labels, to see about scoring him a deal. So, it's not known at this time what label it'll be on. - -I - ----- Original Message ----- From: "jon@ikoo" To: Sent: Tuesday, October 15, 2002 1:53 PM Subject: Re: seven-seas on/off topic: Glide > > Found a nice bit of news tucked in the post-script of an e-mail from Will > I > > received this morning: > > > > "ps Les is coming round to play a bit of bass on a couple of the > > glide tunes on thurs.. bcnu fuzz.........." > > > Which label will this be released on, Mr. Smith? Could this be the first step back into the Big Bunny House... Love the way he just slung it in as a 'P.S.' My dream team line-up for the next LP (no offense to existing personnel) - Les Pattinson, Mike Lee, Jake Brockman join up on strictly equal 5ths; Bill Drummond is seconded to make a mighty triumvirate of Bunnymen Management; And Kingbird produces. (There could be a few bloody noses but a small price to pay for art!) _________________________________________________________________ Unlimited Internet access -- and 2 months free! Let's all join hands now I can feel a Tony Blair moment coming on... _________________________________________________________________ Surf the Web without missing calls! Have you heard that Harper and Page LP? Apparently they were doing lines of coke the length of a snooker table when they made it, impressive as Veda would say Coral single in at 13, right? --- His voice is still good though, Raj, I think. And a fine head of hair for one so mature... I'll have to get that Harper & Page LP, haven't heard it, no. I even nearly got that Page Coverdale thing last time I saw it (I can sing all the songs on 'Ready An' Willing', oh dear...). Robert Plant was on at Lpl Uni a few weeks back, kicking myself I didn't go. I like that - 'a line as long a snooker table' I will now seek the soonest opportunity to use it. Yes, #13 for The Coral a bit of a suprise that, to me. Agreed they do look like scallys but a fine bunch of lads they are. James and Ian Skelly are from Hoylake after all and it's dead dead posh there, all the cars have still got radios. Don't think he'll mind me saying - Chris Adams did an interview with James Skelly which I think will kind of emerge as an album review, should be an interesting read. They're apparently doing a quick foray over to NYC later this year to do some meeting and greeting with a view to a future tour. (Thanks for the review link, Barry.) PS: They're on Later With Jools and TOTP this Friday. Bowie's also on Later. _________________________________________________________________ Surf the Web without missing calls!
