And they did go on about Wales quite a lot. Origin Of Symmetry is a much more complex album IMHO than Showbiz. You can go round screeching your tires and yelling out Showbiz quite nicely... it's got a consistent (well, mostly) feel to it, and I guarantee it's fun to drive to. Whereas Origin... is much more layered and varied and...to me, an acquired taste. Citizen Erased is probably the most accessible song on the album, though Plug-In Baby is probably accessible too. - --Amy, who downloaded the five new songs performed this spring (not yet released) ====================================== Choices! mailto:majordomo@smoe.org Subscribe/unsubscribe Seven-seas Seven-seas-moderated Both available in digest form. ====================================== ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 12 Oct 2002 11:45:45 -0600 From: "Kristin F. Sorry so late with this. Didn't know they were needed! So it's interesting to compare the first tentative set of dates with the second, to see how things changed. Glad they played your town on your birthday! They played here in June (close enough to mine to put me over the moon!) - --Amy ====================================== Choices! mailto:majordomo@smoe.org Subscribe/unsubscribe Seven-seas Seven-seas-moderated Both available in digest form. ====================================== ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 13 Oct 2002 21:45:53 -0500 From: Amy Moseley Rupp Subject: seven-seas-moderated Re: seven-seas Electrafixion dates On Friday, September 27, 2002, at 02:57 PM, Jean-Rene Nolf wrote: > 20th june - Austin, Liberty Lunch > 21st june - Dallas, Trees > 22th june - Houston, Fitzgeralds Can confirm these 1996 dates.... should have gone to the Dallas and Houston shows, have no clue why I didn't other than being mom to one three-and-a-half-year-old and being gainfully employed.... On 20th June 1996 Ian also did an interview with the now defunct KNNC 107.7 FM here in Austin, which is the show I've been meaning to transcribe for ages. Well, at least the tape has "Ian Mac interview" written on it in white china pencil and is sat by my bedside... ;-) he sort of DJ'd and talked both. At the time I couldn't understand one word he said but I've gotten loads better and will transcribe ASAP for the completist in all of us ;-) - --Amy ====================================== Choices! mailto:majordomo@smoe.org Subscribe/unsubscribe Seven-seas Seven-seas-moderated Both available in digest form. ====================================== ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 13 Oct 2002 23:41:01 -0700 From: Charles Pham Subject: seven-seas-moderated RE: seven-seas New List Page! oh crap. zap, you're killing me. ;) just an fyi, it's being redesigned and will change dramatically. so please do not despair. if there are any suggestions or changes you think would work, please do forward to Zap/me and we'll sort it out.
