So do I, but the previous week Squire was quoted as saying that there ain't no way it's ever going to happen. Forgive my scepticism, but I suspect that advance sales of his solo album (due out this coming Monday) aren't going too well..... ====================================== Choices! mailto:majordomo@smoe.org Subscribe/unsubscribe Seven-seas Seven-seas-moderated Both available in digest form. ====================================== ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 13 Sep 2002 08:10:06 -0700 (PDT) From: David Maxfield Subject: seven-seas-moderated "Dancing Horses" = Value for money Speaking of the "Bring On The Dancing Horses" 12" single, Amy wrote: [edit] > My point is, of the Bunnymen/Ian solo 12" vinyl that > I > own, I believe that one to provide the most variety > and > quality for the price. > > --Amy I have to admit that until that came out I was only a minor fan. For some reason that one 12" disc hooked in a way that caused me to re-evaluate all of their earlier work. So for me it's not a question of value, but of existence itself! Or something like that. - --David Maxfield Yahoo! I think it was from a soundtrack, but it has the same dancing horse cover. The b-side is "Read It In Books" or "Pictures On My Wall"--can't remember which. I just remember thinking it was cool to see an Echo and the B-men single actually in stores. - --David Maxfield - --- Red wrote: > At 10:21 PM 9/12/02 -0500, you wrote: > >> extended remix of the song. I just remember thinking it was cool to see an >Echo and the B-men single actually in stores. I have 4 different 7 inch singles of that song! 1.) Bring On The Dancing Horses/Over Your Shoulder [UK release, Korova] 2.) same as #1 except the record itself has a silver label and a little hole to fit onto the player, and #1 has the bigger hole and a black label. This came packaged with a free single featuring 2 tracks from the original Peel Sessions Aug. 79 Read It In Books and Monkeys (no pic sleeve) 3.) Bring on the Dancing Horses/Read It In Books [US release, Sire] has slightly differnt cover than the UK release. 4.) Bring On The Dancing Horses/Over Your Shoulder [UK release] Picture disc with cow on the front! #1 - 3 have the yellowish orange covers with the black dancing horse. Although the US version is slighly different. The image on the front is smaller, and it's a lot more orange in colour. The design underneath Echo & The Bunnymen doesn't have the little orange squares either. Hope that helps. ~Red ====================================== Choices! mailto:majordomo@smoe.org Subscribe/unsubscribe Seven-seas Seven-seas-moderated Both available in digest form. ====================================== ------------------------------ End of seven-seas-digest V1 #100 ********************************
