A lot of people put the electroclash and 80's rehash tag on them, but they have some very cool melodies + sounds. The Television album from 1993 is O.K., some great guitar effects wih a more mature sound, but get this last if you don't have the first 2 albums, and the live ROIR the Blow up is a must. Yep. I have those 3. 'The Blow Up' must rank as one of the greatest live albums ever. - -- Barry Whiting barry@urquell.freeserve.co.uk ====================================== The Official Seven-Seas Web Page. www.bunnymenlist.com ====================================== ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 02 Dec 2002 17:36:39 +0000 From: "Peter Burnand" Subject: seven-seas-moderated vote There's a artist vote thing at this link if you want to vote for Echo & the Bunnymen: http://www.virginradio.co.uk/thestation/top100/vote.html I was torn between the Bunnymen, Robbie Williams and Phil Collins. I just had to vote for all three in the end. _________________________________________________________________ Protect your PC - get McAfee.com VirusScan Online http://clinic.mcafee.com/clinic/ibuy/campaign.asp?cid=3963 ====================================== The Official Seven-Seas Web Page. www.bunnymenlist.com ====================================== ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 2 Dec 2002 20:22:23 -0800 (PST) From: Andrew Ironside Subject: seven-seas-moderated Re: seven-seas vote - --- Amy Moseley Rupp wrote: > > I was torn between the Bunnymen, Robbie Williams > and Phil Collins. I guess it's that time of year.....there's nothing of any note due to be released in December (to my knowledge) so how about we hear what are everyone's favourite albums of this last year? Yeah, I know, tired old thread, but hey, it's been too quiet round here this last week or so (apparently our American friends have had some or other holiday they've been celebrating - dunno what that's all about!)..... Anyway, here's mine..... 1= Lupine Howl - The Bar At The End Of The World 1= Minuteman - Resigned To Life 3 Queens of the Stone Age - Songs For The Deaf 4 Cooper Temple Clause - See This Through And Leave 5 Electric Soft Parade - Holes In The Wall (c'mon Barry, they're very good, really!!) 6 Biffy Clyro - Blackened Sky 7 Haven - Between The Senses 8 Richard Ashcroft - Human Conditions 9 Foo Fighters - One By One 10 JJ72 - I To Sky And I apologise to anyone who is offended by my omission of Live In Liverpool....I just don't think it's THAT good....and anyway, I discounted it because it's not an album of new songs.... ====================================== The Official Seven-Seas Web Page. www.bunnymenlist.com ====================================== ------------------------------ End of seven-seas-moderated-digest V1 #61 *****************************************
