It ended on a great note, and luminaries appeared throughout the tour, Garbage showed up, Ian of the Cult dropped by in Atlanta, Sonic Boom in Orlando, Courtney Love in LA, a host of Liverpools finest in San Francisco, Jeff Buckley, Jack Rabid (Springhouse, the Big Takeover magazine) and Joan Wasser (Dambuilders) in New York. It was with great relief and some sadness that the band hopped the flight back to Manchester on Sunday, and the crew headed their respective ways. Who was on the tour as many of you seem to want to know? Ian and Will are givens... Julian Phillips on bass, with brother George on drums Patrick "the Grizz" Molloy as Roadie Peasey as The Roadie/Road Manager D(ead)ELVIS for Vibes Tricky Dick Dickson brought them hither and tither Tim Miller as the Road Manager/soundman/attitude-on-demand And then there was YOU, who supported the band, so we hope you enjoyed the shows and singles... As for the future, there's a bit of time off and then work on the second album. The sophmore effort, always a difficult task, seems pretty much in the bag, with "Live Forever" and "Baseball Bill" tense moments. All are `excited to begin that project. Will there be a new single? It seems likely said the magic 8 ball yesterday morning. The final set of shows were really quite brilliant, and the band enjoyed a needed day off in New York, spending the 4th of July exploring the haunts of NYC. Boston was a solemn occasion, and on their daily gatherings in record stores, The Grizz and Will came upon the new Banana Splits CD (highly recommended) and Tartan Keats found a signed David Hasselhoff promo CD for $2. Will left behind a pair of boxer shorts, stage worn, in the trunk of a car and we'll be accepting bids as of this moment...No phone calls please. As some people may have noticed, many of the shows were filmed, from washington D.C. until New Orleans and then the NYC and Boston shows. It was simply a document of the tour and there are no immediate plans for release. If there are any tapes floating about, we'd love to get copies...please let us know what you have. And if you see any articles on the band, we'd love a xerox. Hopefully we'll be able to keep in touch. Support the fanzines, harrass the radio stations and keep listening. We're hear to answer questions on any of the above should you have any. With that... humbly, Carl of SpiFFinG ====================================== The Official Seven-Seas Web Page. www.bunnymenlist.com ====================================== ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 1 Nov 2002 12:59:21 -0800 From: "Ivan Smith " Subject: seven-seas-moderated Q Awards micro-site online Well, since getting home last night to find a tape of the Q Awards in my postbox, I've been busy editing, etc, and have just uploaded bunnymen.com's Q Awards micro-site... there are 20 screen-captures to peruse, and you can watch the lads' acceptance speech & performance of Killing Moon.... also FYI - that is Ceri on keyboards... a one-off, according to management... no slight to Paul, but it just SOUNDED like Ceri when first I heard, and I was squinting to make him out.... visually, I recognized him by the way he hunches over the keys, more than anything else... - --- Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free.
