I'd been corresponding with Pete Byrne via e-mail while the awards show was running.... Reasons Pete Byrne's taken his place on Mac's solo (and Simon Finley for Vinny) - didn't want the whole Bunnymen line-up (minus Will) on Mac's solo, now did we? Wouldn't be a solo that way... we all know what happens when a solo album's recorded as 'Echo and the Bunnymen' - da shizzit hits da fizzan, yo... - ----- Original Message ----- From: "Martyn White" > I couldn't make out who was on rhythm guitar. I know y'all thought I was daft when I translated it into Spanish rather than the awful translation that's out there now (Miguel Erlexben? or something like that) but that is how much I love it.... in fact, during the summer of 1989 I (and brother and mother, sigh) drove from here to near Chicago to near Toronto to Montreal down through Vermont and upstate NY to Boston down the eastern seaboard and across Georgia through Athens and Atlanta to southern Alabama to the Florida panhandle and along the Gulf Coast back to Austin. About 5,000 miles round trip! Listened to "Viva Hate" continuously as I drove. Second favourite Morrissey song: "Will Never Marry." So beautiful. I think the Street collaborations are Morrissey's best. Thanks for that information! I guess it's sorta like "Silver" ... the strings are like _Ocean Rain_. - --Amy ====================================== The Official Seven-Seas Web Page. www.bunnymenlist.com ====================================== ------------------------------ End of seven-seas-moderated-digest V1 #14 *****************************************
